Terrible attitudes from all especially from Johan, wants to charge an arm and a leg and staff are forceful with your car. Spend your money elsewhere and with better people who are actually happy to help customers.
Would not recommend an AC regas from them. Charged me about R850 after discount going rate is about R450 Only to be told afterwards that my aircon motor was faulty - yet no one was there while my aircon was being regassed, and no one really seemed to know how the "new" machine worked. Went for a 2nd opinion - it was a wrong O-ring on one of the pipes, 2nd company charged me R0.00 to replace the O-ring.
My GPS which was still under guarantee stopped working. I was with one of the staff when the supplier said he will supply another unit at no cost. On the day of installation I was asked to pay R1 500 for courier charges of that unit from a South African supplier to Fourways - this for me was the biggest rip off ever. I will never recommend this company to anyone. This is unethical business - R1500 courier charge from a local supplier is is just plain Greed!
A good bunch of guys who accommodated the installation of a smartnavi unit at short notice. However, on collecting the vehicle and being told all was good to go, my own checks revealed that one of the speakers was not working. This was quickly fixed. On the drive home, a plastic bracket fell out from under the dash and upon investigation I discovered that 2 brackets from the cubby hand been snapped off. There is no way to be certain, but it is reasonable to assume that this happened during the install as the cubby is removed to run through cabling from the unit and also to the gps mounted on the dash board. When contacted the owner was suitably apologetic and offered to order a replacement so cant fault them there. My conclusion is that the team are very capable, but if you are precious about your vehicle, then hang about to ensure that suitable care is taken and insist on the use of plastic levers rather than screwdrivers when removing dash components to prevent avoidable scratches etc..
Could have been a better experience. I called on a Saturday morning to see if I can get a specific product and if they are open or not since it is Christmas period and some specialist businesses are closed by that time period already. The guy who answered the phone was not impressed by getting a call on his mobile phone. He did tell me however that they were open and the closing time, roughly. Also he said he is able to offer me the item I'm looking for and he gave me his second in charge's name which I could speak with when I got there. I had more questions but he must have been on his vacation because he was in a rush to end the call. First off, I will never interrupt anyone on their leave/vacation time, but I got the mobile number from their website. So please, control your emotions when you offered your private number as an alternative number for your customers to reach you. Secondly, when I arrived at the store, I found the gent I was sent to look for. He gave me the best service, and what products he could offer his limits of capacity in the company. Basically I he said he doesn't sell the item I'm looking for, but rather he has to make the product and then he will do the install. I made it clear to him and incidentally I told his boss on the phone the same that I'm not looking for the fitment service but just the product that is usually available in big retail stores but I would rather support small business during the pandemic as I have a small business myself and I believe I will get support like this if I take part in the same support for others like me as well. So maybe I should be mindful to the timing or any misunderstanding about the experience, but it happened as I described, and it was 50/50 at best.
Warning they quote you and don't tell you it's ex vat to get the job that is something that caught me out . And the installation was not great it was one of my fleet vehicles but I expected it should still be done correctly. The roof liner was not put back all the way and the radio it's self was very lose that would rattle it to pieces . Who knows maybe I just went in on a day that the installer was having an off day . But I don't recommend them because of that .
I was having issues with the bluetooth in my car - I went to Fourways Security and Sound. I can't remember the persons name but he came to my car, got it working and said no charge. Great customer experience!
Actually they deserve NO STARS. Took my radio to have it checked as Nick asked me to bring it there. I was never told that it would be removed as it was just to be checked only. Johan removed the radio at his own as he didn't know what the problem was. Anyways it required a software upgrade and the company which does the upgrade did it for FREE. They even sent their own technician to have it fitted however Johan refused to give them the radio because suddenly there is fitment fee which they failed to mention at any given time. Sadly it seems like that's how they operate, hence I suggest that people should not waste their time with this unprofessional business.
Was told it will take 4 days and R1500 to get a radios cd mechanism fixed, it is now almost two weeks later and the radio still isn't ready and the estimated price is already over R2000. Absolutely ridiculous, and to top it off there's no communication whatsoever from the guys in charge, you have to keep phoning them to get an update. I would not recommend this company at all, constant excuses as to why the radio is not ready.
Went there to replace the radio on wife's kia sedona which has a radio the is about double the height of a normal unit. She chose model and waited for it to be fitted. Turned out they couldnt get it in so gave her slim on with metal plate to cover up the gap. Really ugly and then they could not connect the steering controls without us paying an additional amount. Said they were going to order it but never got back to us. We went in again to get a tracking system removed and the guy doing it allowed the vehicle to roll back and nearly hit the kids that were standing outside the premises. Told the manager/owner I no longer wanted the work done and he said that was fine as he had plenty of other customers. If you want good service I suggest you avoid this place like the plague.
