Spectacular hidden gem not far from Montagu. Quiet, peaceful setting. Great rooms with open fireplace and all amenities. Staff are brilliant, Charles was a great host. Good food and really good price! WiFi isn't great but that's the norm for SA in my experience. Would love to return.

Modern quality amenities in a classic setting.Beautiful scenery, attentive staff and high calibre food.The rooms are warm with high grade finishes and linens.Spotlessly clean-everything is new. The main lounge is plush with comfortable seating and attentive service to enjoy the large fireplace. The grounds are pristine, as are the mountains.Peaceful, serene and scenic with very clean air, yet close enough to Montagu to enjoy the towns coffee shops and local activities.The Birdlife was vibrant in the mornings, and there are even Ostriches roaming the eco-estate. Overall it is well managed and developed with attention to detail by the Owners/Developer, the Conservation Staff, and the Restauranteur.

Breath-taking describes it 100% Beautiful rooms! Equipped with Nespresso machine, fridge with mini bar, robes, towels, unfortunately no aircon however it's not needed since the breeze coming from the small patio is very refreshing and cool. Activities include hikes, jacuzzi and swimming in non heated pool as well as cycling with the estate's mountain bikes. The estate also offers an olive tour on site upon request. The small town of Montagu is within a few minutes drive from the estate where you will find your general grocery store, Spar and also a few lovely coffee shops and restaurants. The experience at the estate was of excellent value. Delicious 4 course meals at dinner and a cold and hot buffet is served in the mornings. Our rooms are cleaned daily and a nice feature we enjoyed was the fresh food basket which we received in our rooms daily. A small sweet treat was also placed on our bedside tables when returning from dinner. I would honestly recommend this resort for a couples romantic break away where you will be served with utmost professionalism! The estate is secluded, quite and private. This includes the scenic 2 hour drive from Cape Town airport. Smooth online accommodation booking was quick and easy. Gorgeous views with picture perfect sunsets and super stargazings at night as well. You won't regret a trip to this place and unforgettable memories are guaranteed!

Beautiful farm and property. Ideal for a quiet getaway for some peaceful relaxation. The staff are polite and attentive and the service runs efficiently. The restaurant serves a set 4 course dinner, with the menu changing every night. A bit pricey and the servings are large for a 4 course menu, so you rarely finish the meal properly. The town of Montagu is nearby if you prefer to dine out. The rooms are very clean, private and fit in with the high end farm style. Smaller than the pictures would make you believe, and no air-conditioning, only an overhead fan, which is sufficient. We stayed for the Easter weekend and would definitely recommend it to others.

Do yourself a favour, if you truly want to get away to pure luxury & peace of mind, book yourself in at Galenia Estate Montagu. The reception from the staff is first class. Very friendly, knowledgeable professional. Alwyn and team are AMAZING. Charles was our waiter. He made us feel "at home" Very friendly guy and a definite keeper We were there 13 November 2020. Good views and delicious breakfast. Thank you for making my daughter and i feel so welcome!

Sep 2020: An exceptional facility with attentive staff. Recently started offering dinners. Going by the fantastic standard, Alwyn's team are worthy of every good review. The team should be proud of what they do! Sep 2021: A year later and the same high standard are still maintained. The passion and energy Chrisna, Charles, Sida and others bring to Galenia is highly commendable.
