Gaustation Sandton

Very cool. I like the way passengers help each other gets the right train to the right place. You also got assisted to wait at the designated area where the train will stop. The directory is there but not helpful when someone is late to catch a ride. Better be there on time to familiarize self with the area. For airport platform there are stickers to follow showing airplanes. It worked for me though.

It’s unsafe outside there with the taxi drivers threatening Uber drivers. I just got accosted by two elderly man who threatened my driver and I was with my my child. I will not tolerate being bullied especially when my child is with me as I need to keep him safe. I let rip on them. If my child had been alone, I shudder to think what they may have done to him. SA is a free country and I should be free to choose my mode of transport and not be dictated to by uncouth, rude elderly bullies by the entrance of the Gautrain. The have no respect for rude people and treated them the same way they treated me. I pay taxes and it’s a public space, unless I am missing something about a rule or regulation outside the train station. Please make this safe for all of us. I told them exactly what I thought of them but on another day it may not have ended well.

Impressive new developments. Clean and well maintained with good security. The only drawback is that the road network in and out of Sandton has not been upgraded to deal with the ever increasing numper of vehicles, so expect massive traffic delays in and out at peak times.

Great customer experience. Easy to buy tickets and clean trains. The best way to travel during traffic hours and the fastest way to get into Sandton from the airport.

Get to and from Sandton comfortably and efficiently. Can get to Rosebank, Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand, and even Park Station. Use to connect to flights or even international shuttle if you goSwaziland. Avoid traffic, get there fast and comfortably. The security at and team inside Sandtonhelp with tickets, directions, how long till train arrives etc.

My 1st experience on the Gautrain and Sandton station was pleasant. People were friendly and helpful and showed me what to do, where to go. The station in clean and organized, well sign posted and the train was spot on time. Boarding was rather quick and we set off on time to the next station. Overall a good experience.
