Ruth and all her colleagues work with such pride and professionalism. The process was so clear and the service so efficient. I’m encouraged to go to GH more often Good job everyone. Highly recommended and excellent service. Tips: - If you don’t have a reference then use the hotel accommodation details and hotel accommodation manager name. - Use a clear picture with white background same as ID picture. - Print and bring the pack of all supporting documents that were attached on the online system, including the application form. - If you are sending via courier then you need to make absolutely sure that all documents are correct as per requirements, which most of the time is not the case as I’ve seen lots of people being turned away to correct their forms and bring additional supporting documents, track the package yourself because I don’t think such a busy place can notify you timeously, best to come submit personally or via an agent.
My experience is rather different, I'm not in Pretoria, I'm from Durban, so I was left with the option to send my Visa Pack via courier, and also made an appointment for pick up. My Visa Pack arrived 0n the 02 August 2022, but there was never communication from the Ghana High commission whether, they received it. I only relied on my courier to let me know that it was received. When i track online, still no communication and I have been calling today but no one picked up. What was frustrating was that there are a lot of steps required by Ghana High Commission and most are unclear, or not communicated. If you don't call them you are guaranteed to make an error. However, still waiting to know whether my Visa Pack was received. 08/08/2022
Tip: If you're applying for a visa online, make sure you fill in the details for two references. You will be allowed to submit online even if you only have one reference, but when you get to the High Commission they will send you back saying you need two references. The PostNet nearby even knows about this issue because so many applicants are sent there to add another reference online. It's annoying.
Visiting the High Commission of Ghana is a pleasant and pain-free experience. The staff especially Ruth that handles the visa applications are very friendly and highly professional.
I have had the honour of visiting the High Commission some time back for business purposes. Having only just started working as a rental agent a few days prior to my first visit didn't really help the nerves. Needless to say I was made to feel right at home from the moment I stepped into the High Commission. All the staff welcomed me in such a warm friendly way. The lady I was assisting at that stage clearly noticed my nerves earlier, she chatted away while introducing me to the necessary members of staff, explaining that "this is how it's done in Ghana". The staff clearly enjoyed the work they were doing, they're extremely organised and efficient when it comes to business. It was always a pleasure when requested to assist other members of staff arriving in Pretoria.
The SA high Commision in Ghana is truly exceptional. They communicate efficiently and on time. They are very transparent and they stick to their rules and policies. I have contacted them twice for assistance and guidance. The first was a visa issue which I was very well advised on and the second was regarding the facilitation of a power of attorney document. Their assistance took a heavy load off my shoulders. Although the officials are very busy them make time to carefully attend to requests and they advise you very well within the policies. Really the most efficient, reliable and corruption free institution I have ever seen. That SA HC team in Accra team is truly exceptional. And I hope that one day the president will get to know how well SA is represented in Ghana. God bless all of you.
