There is a really staunch overweight rude Hungarian lady working there. This is Africa, we follow the principle of Ubuntu if she wants to be a tyrant she should go live in Hungary and terrorize her people. She needs to learn how to treat people like people, the nerve. They also never pick up the phone. Behaving like they are in Hungary, it's ridiculous. We can accept it in Hungary, not here in our Home Land!

I have been asking for advise and assistance several times with visa application for athletes competing in Hungary in my capacity as development manager for SA sport federation. I found the konzul and staff members very helpful even after office hours.
Really impressed by this embassy, specially the staff. From the security guard at the gate, to the lady assisting us, smiles and good vibes all the way. Addition: I thought it couldn't get better, but went back yesterday to collect documents, and the staff was even friendlier and more helpful than before. They made this proses of our trip hassle free!!! 10 stars if I could.
I loved the receptionist and the security guard. Very clean and friendly stuff. If what I saw today is how Hungarian people are, I guess they have Ubuntu
Quick, friendly and efficient service. Last time I visited the embassy in 2017 I had terrible experience, but now they have really improved their service. Managed to get my police check certificate within 24 hours in English. Thank you Ágnes for your help.
Things definitely changed up for the better. Had a great experience with their service. Dr Török Timea is very kind and helpful.
This was the worst visa application experience I've ever had. the staff at this embassy are so rude and treated us all like we were children even though our problems with our applications was due to them sending us the wrong forms to fill out. It was honestly a horrible interaction and I hope they do something about this staff because it definitely wasn't like this years ago when I first went to Hungary. We met a few people outside the embassy who asked us if we had also had such a bad experience so we know we aren't the only ones who very much disliked the staff. Hopefully they either train the staff better or hire nicer people because at some point this will negatively impact on the amount of people wanting to go to Hungary just because we all want to avoid this horrible embassy.
I found them to be friendly and very helpful. For the small team of people who work there I thank you. The grate number of negative reviews given is not a true reflection of the embassy. It takes cuple of calls to talk to some one. Best phone between 9h00 and 11h00. Be nice they have alot to do and not much time. Plan ahead, don't leave things to the last minute.
