Goodwood Swimming Pool

Awesome space for the whole family! Lovely clean lawns and swimming pool

Its been a while since we were last here, much has changed. Opens at 10am closes at 4:30pm. Few picnic tables with benches are available all around the place. Grass is nicely taken care of. Restroom facilities are clean & tidy, showers & changing room are available as well. Goodwood Swimming Pools has 3 pools one for toddlers, few feet away from that one is for pre schoolers up to the age of 10 & one big one for all other ages, entry fees are R9 per adult & R3 per child... Wonderful secure place, loads of visible policing, strict rules concerning swimwear & behaviour in pools. No alcohol, no soccer balls, no loud music, no knives, no drinking glasses must make use of paper cups also no glass bottles allowed. All Bags are searched by police as you enter. Lifeguards are on every corner of the pools. Lovely shading to sit under is provided at the baby pool side, few trees around for shade, big grassy area available as well. Oh & a indoor tuck shop who sells tea, coffee, slap chips, Vienna parcels, Boerewors rolls & cooldrinks. A very pleasant day well spent after being gone for so long!

Fantastic, Clean, friendly Staff we had a Great time..

So, upon getting to the pools it was closed due to full capacity. We had to wait outside for over an hour. Everyone was just confused as to why there's still restrictions and limitations as covid is not an issue anymore. Management wasn't really communicating and they paid no mind to the people waiting outside- this was quite disrespectful as an update now and then would be appreciated. Overall, the day at the pools were great. Only got to swim for about 2 hours..but the kids were happy. Next we will just go earlier to get in sooner.

Was very nice but I don't understand y small children can't be with their parents in the big pool with a life jacket on.. I don't think any parent would put their child in danger.

Good Day I'm absolutely appalled at the closure of municipal pool during the summer holidays, went to Goodwood swimming pools Wednesday 21 December 2022 only to be told at gate by security that pools are closed. What is more frustrating is that there are no employees of the city on site to answer any questions. There was approximately 4 families with kids not knowing what going on. Is this the way ' the city works for us'? Thanks

When I was a child of about 4 or 5 years old, we lived down the road from this pool. My brothers and I used to walk here and swim. Back then it was a beautiful place. Well maintained and clean. I haven't seen this place in years , so I don't know what it looks like now.

Nice and clean...was over charged for my daughter and her friend as they are under 16

The site started they are open at 10 on a Friday yet once you arrive they are closed and only open at 14;00. Both contact numbers on the sitw does not work.. Useless

The pool was good the space nice as well as the atmosphere. Initially a problem when there was a que waiting outside as nobody controlled the entrance to the pool. Otherwise a nice and refreshing experience
