Friendly staff. There's no long wait for your meals whether it's breakfast or lunch. Lots of seating place aswell, you can sit inside or out on the deck either way your meal will be enjoyable. There's also a good play area for kids. Wheel chair access if required.
I had my sons birthday party there and the staff was super friendly. We also did not have to pay for cake storage, they had all the party goodies, gave us grace when we stayed longer than 2 hours and the children enjoyed themselves. The food was yummy, was surprised by the kiddies pizza it was lovely. Great management and awesome staff!
We visited this spur yesterday for my husbands birthday..the food was really disappointing. The ribs had no sauce or taste and was not cooked properly, asked for smaller ribs, got big fat hard tough pieces, the steaks ordered had no flavour and not cooked to order, buffalo wings was horrible and over cooked rock hard We had to look for our waitress and keep calling other people to assist. Will never go to this spur again.
Loved the food. Was a special and wow i got so much more than i thought i would get. Great place to chill. Nice drink specials too.Food: 5/5
The service was quick, we got our food in no time. I was particularly impressed by their safety feature that ensures that kids don't leave the restaurant unattended
Great staff this time they missed informing me pre ordering that they expect payment before loadshedding for all cards payments whilst the kids were eating I had to pay via card they must inform clients on arrival I was not pleased with the rush to pay pre loadshedding couldn't even order my meal as I had no hard cash because . otherwise excellent service always m kids live it there !
Smaller than when it was at the top of Checkers, but nice to have a new play area. Food yummy as always
Yesterday I decided to take my daughter to Grand Rapids Spur on the Bluff, for a fun breakfast and play in the kiddies entertainment area. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the management had spruced up the kiddies area with some good old fashioned Arcade Machines and some other fun games to play. The service was really good as well. The milkshake I ordered for my daughter ended upside down on the table and the waiter promptly cleaned it up before my breakfast arrived. Overall another good experience had all round.
From the time we walked in the service was poor know one great us at the door it seemed like it was closed know one took us to the table we had to go ourself took 10min for someone to bring the menu I put through my sons order first took to long even the milkshake took forever to come but the waiter explained no ice-cream in machine when the spur was at the other place service was much better
The new Spur is great! Had a waitress think her name was Mbali? that was absolutely amazing! An asset to the establishment! Loved the new vibe there.
