I went to this place about 4 times during my stay in Durban, its soooo underrated but probably because its on South Beach, and it has like old fashioned house sofas this place has beautiful seaviews and a balcony too, the cocktails are to die for and affordable and worth every cent, the food absolutely delicious, the staff are amazing. I will always visit this place when I'm in Durban as long as they stick to this quality.
I love this place! The food is delicious, killer cocktails, and a very chilled vibe. Although, there needs to be an upgrade in the furniture, it's old and outdated. Other than that, everything else is excellent
We were served dry and old/off food. The sofas so dirty. Don't go there if like good quality food and clean place. One star for good music and drinks. Oh Bill comes with tip already added to a bill...even if you not happy with service you are forced to pay a tip!!!!!!!!!
Friendly service. Generous portions. Delicious food.
Lovely food. Great music. Good service from our waitor Lizwi. Definitely worth every cent
The best experience of an urban ‘chisa nyama’. It is a great place to for lunch and early dinners for a great views and sunset. They also have a great music. The menus didn’t have much variety though.
Always playing good music & it's not crowded. You can enjoy your food/Drink while listening to good music, from Deep House, Hip Hop, Amapiano, Afro Tech
Good food & cool beer with a nice ocean view.
It was the most magnificent day down on the Durban promenade and we decided to stop by and try out their widely advertised Vuka breakfast. The views from the outside deck were great, the only downside being the wind direction ... but you can choose to go inside or even upstairs which also has really great views and is sheltered. We had a really nice waiter serve us. The breakfast was a very nice size portion - very nice bacon and pork sausages. Loved the spice on the french fries. Fried eggs, sunny side up came with the whites still runny, but was was quickly sorted by asking to have them flipped. The breakfast advertises 2 slices of bread, and it's white bread only ... but it's really 1 slice of bread cut into 2 triangles ... not a biggie, but why? Cappuccinos were not great, had a soapy taste, and tasted like longlife milk had been used. Loved the laid back jazz music that was being played at a perfect volume. We will definitely go back and have drinks at the upstairs section which has a great setting. Worth a whirl.
Nice spot, African food, limited menu.
