Unfortunately over priced and I really did not appreciate that the 10% service fee was already included, seeing that the waiter made a mistake with the order by bringing a large milkshake rather than a kiddies milkshake. She just pulled up her shoulders when I asked if the milkshake is going to be the kiddies price. I would've liked to make up my own mind about the service fee. Also, to ask R140 for the Green Olive pizza is absolutely riduculous.
We had the best dining experince at Green Olive today. A big thank you to the best waiter, Tato Mahlangu and a special thank you to Timothy Bube, the chef behind the amazing breaksfast we had. He even wrote down tips on how to make my flapjacks! Then Kevin, thank you for having us. Such a great experience!
Fresh and delicious food. Friendly service. Outside seating available. Unfortunately smokers at the adjacent table spoiled the experience. Local South African dishes like pap in a potjie, kaiings and boerewors on the menu. Just didn't like the fact that I had to pay R30 extra when I requested Ciabatta instead of white bread, as toasted sandwiches are already not cheap. Nor the fact that there was a charge for the buffet breakfast for 6 people added to our bill and when I requested a new bill with our correct charges it was met with excuses. A 10% tip charge is automatically added to the bill, which lifts eyebrows. More so, when a tip is based on how the patron experiences the service. This tip was too added to my takeaway bill and again R30 per sandwich added for Ciabatta.
This is a lovely venue for all occations. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Bennie accommodated us in the lapa for my daughters baby shower. She gave us all the information about the setting beforehand and everything went smooth on the day. I would really recommend this venue.
Lovely place and friendly staff. The quality of food is good with a nice selection to choose from. I absolutely adore restaurant’s with a wood oven for pizza’s but one thing I do not appreciate is when the toppings are hidden under the under the cheese like how the franchise Pizza Perfect does it. Perhaps it’s not the case but I feel like it’s a technique to skimp on toppings. The staff are friendly but expect slow service, perhaps this is because they are aware of the fact that their tip is already included in the bill. Regardless, the environment is relaxing and peaceful. Note: they have a play area and smoking areas are also available.
Great setting & very nice play area for the kids. Food took forever to prepare and was served ice cold. My guess is that it was forgotten about and the staff did not even think about warming it up. Unacceptable.Recommended dishesRegina Pizza, Ciabatta, Chicken Strips and Fries
Had a lovely lunch at Green Olive. Wish it were warmer to enjoy the live performance hosted at the venue. Weather did not take away from the restaurant though Food: 4/5
We had a leasurely lunch under a tree with splashes of sunshine gracing the lawn around us. Food was outstanding. Service good. Relaxed and earthy. Decor gems soothes the creative soul in you.
Nice place good food lots to look at and very friendly owner of restaurant will definitely visit them again
Excellent place to have a meal in a quite relaxed garden environment and also visit a well layedout nursery with a wide range of plants at competitive prices. Good place for wheelchair access in the restaurant garden & also caters for youngsters.
