A classic old school Hilton. Super stylish decor, very very welcoming and helpful staff. Clean, large rooms with comfortable king bed. We had a great dinner at the restaurant, and the breakfast is bountiful!! Really enjoyed the cappuccino machine! This is in a very safe part of Johannesburg and we are so glad we stayed here!Rooms: 5/5
Wonderful service - from my first step in, to my final step out. The concierge, doorman, cleaning staff were all exceptional. The hotel and room was clean, luxurious and comfortable. I really enjoyed the executive lounge and fitness centre.Rooms: 5/5
Overall i can outline exceptionally good breakfast, great shuttle service, typical in SA blackoutsbut you can use to it Great restaurant and very helpful stuff. The elevator probably needs a bit of tweak, buttons to select floors were pushed and they made often constant noise but these are minor things. I would love to come once again on another business trip Safety: I felt safe but I don't know why most of the gates to the hotel were closed. You have to go through drive way instead of main entrance.. Food & drinks: Great stuff fully recommend
Beautiful hotel with a classic design. I had a great time, being reminded of another classic in Dar es Salaam. Nice and quiet room, and good dinner and breakfast. Unfortunately the cleaner never bothered to change the previous bed sheets, I checked into the room with a nasty surprise of a smelly bed! Not something one would expect from a reputable hotel like this. Reception gave me a different room, and management looked into the problem on my check out. I wish it for the better. Noteworthy details: Cleaning service must be improved!!
Service was good and breakfast was divine but the hotel desperately needs a revamp. Furniture and equipment iron, air dryer look old and dilapidated. The vibe is so 1960 and staff needs to pay attention to small details. I was extremely confused about the aircon from too hot to too cold.Rooms: 2/5
Awesome service. The staff treats everyone very, very well. I'm a pilot with Delta, and most often I bring my wife for the long JNB layovers. She got stuck in JNB once for the nonrev home to ATL. The staff at the Hilton Sandton were over the top with helping with her accomodations. They literally looked after her as one of their own. I'm grateful to each and every member of this great team.
I cannot speak for the rooms, I did not stay over. Attended an AWS seminar there. The food in the restaurant was very good and staff friendly. Safe parking and a very luxurious hotel.Service: 5/5
Once checked in. Took forever to actually have a room assigned to me. Waited roughly an hour. Food is not so great and they charge a delivery fee of R60 to deliver your food in the hotel besides paying for your food. Huge disappointment. It is allocated close to Sandton Mall. The plus is the shuttle that takes you to the mall and brings you back. This hotel is more for business than leisure. Many conferences happening and lots of international people.
