Hulala Lake House

The unit we were booked In had roaches. The dish towels and dishwasher machine had an offish smell about them. Not much activities to do , pool is tiny and place is far from everything.Rooms: 3/5

I always go to Hulala for peace & quiet and that's what I get every time. The pools are clean and well looked after, the staff has excellent services & the food is delicious. The overall lodge itself is in excellent condition. I've only been a frequent day visitor and never slept there but I would think the service and facilities are up to standard too.

Administration needs a wake up call. There was no gas for cooking on our first night. The caretaker only came the next day at 12:00! Saturday there was no power. We asked we were told it's load shedding; although the house next to us has power!

Perfect anytime getaway!!! Lovely, tranquil space. Definitely a space to clear one's mind from the hustle and bustle of a busy life. We loved the paddle boating and scenery from the rooms onto the Da Gama Lake - it was amazing!!! Definitely a place to rekindle the love-life with your partner. Great food and staff. My partner and I are most certainly going to visit again.

So one of the best kept secrets of the Lowveld. Awesome setting, great service and food. Boutique style hotel. Da Gama lake is one of the most beautiful around. Prices great too. Don't spread the word. Needs to stay special.

It's a very good place to be with your family, friends and your partner. Once you get into that place you will never want to leave. Seeing the lake there is so overwhelming and you get to be taken on a boat ride at sundown which is marvelous.

Let me just start off by saying what stood out for me. The boat ride is so relaxing, so calming but the view is amazing, very beautiful. I am definitely going back.

The family and I loved the peaceful bush and super helpful staff. The house is equipped with all you need including a dishwasher however AC would have been awesome. We'll definitely refer our friends and family.

When we arrived people were having their own family/group party in the guest parking area. Clearly marked signs about no drinking and loud music allowed were completely ignored. Evidently the behaviour of this group was also ignored by Hulala Lakeside Lodge management. Not a good way to start a 3 day visit.

Absolutely fantastic. Very friendly enviroment. Exceptionally friendly staff. Lovely home cooking! You feel like you are part of their family while you are here. Been here many times over the years and never been disappointed!!
