Reviews
Rooms were cleaned daily and the housekeepers very polite. Security always gave us a wave when we passed the gates. The Sundowner bar has a great view and the pizzas and food was good but it was very busy and too full and they constantly ran out of items on the menu and the service was not up to scratch. The Reeds restaurant was similar to the Sundowner but not as full and the service was poor and we had to ask the wait staff to continuously remove dishes and glasses off the table they also ran out of items on the menu but the food was pleasant. Over all I’d stay here again if I returned to Richards Bay but won’t frequent their restaurants too much on the property.
Went to go have a drink and lunch at the Sundowner bar. The service was pathetic, the waiters did not seem interested in serving us at all. There were complaints all over and people asking if they can rather cancel orders and pay their bill. We waited over 45min for our drinks to arrive and after asking the waitress how long we are still going to wait for our food to arrive or if we can rather cancel our order to go eat somewhere else they brought us something that nearly resembled a pizza,it was completely raw and tasteless,we ended up having 1 slice and taking the rest as takeaway just to get out of there.
Comfortable stay and friendly service. Frogs are a bit loud at the river cabins.
Very comfortable experience. The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful since you can call reception even at 8pm. I would recommend for group outings and even singles.Rooms: 5/5
On Sunday we were celebrating my friend's promotion the waitress was giving us an attitude,wasn't welcoming,we had to beg for everything from the lady who was serving us I forgot her name but she treated us like we weren't welcomed.The service was bad shame they disappointed me coz I've heard good reviews about this place.Service: 1/5
Accommodation ok, in desperate need of a revamp. The mattress is very worn out sadly not much has changed since my last visit a year ago. The place is full so come guys put something back in!!Rooms: 3/5
In the reeds restaurant had good food. They offerd room service but never answerd the phone .Rooms were clean but the lack of air gave it a terrible smell. .Shower head terrible and very little water pressure .Bathroom lack of space. But over all had a pleasant stay .Rooms: 2/5
Most staff was great and friendly. The food and cocktails were very good and the chalet was very clean and comfortable. The receptionist could be more welcoming... she was rude, I almost cancel my reservation. Once pass her , the experience was great.
Please get new waiters that want to work at the sundowner bar. They are not friendly at all. Didn't cut my pizza, food was cold and waited more than an hour for our drinks.Service: 1/5
Chalets are run down. Plants not cut away properly from chekets and pathway. Even met with a snake. Bedding dirty and blemished. Furniture less than 3rd rate. Entertainment center not attractive at all with everything locked and not clean. Only been opened after great effort by an unfriendly attendant suppose to serving the shop. Not a pleasure at all to visit. The caravan park division was a better experience with a pool and play area but still not excellent.
