John Dorys Fish, Grill, Sushi. - Monte Casino

When we got there, the waiters seemed a bit confused as what to do next. They eventually took us to a table, and was greeted with our waiter after a few minutes. We waited at least an hour for our food, luckily the food was not bad otherwise the rating might have been lower. We saw lots of tables complaining about the slow service, thought this might only be a one time deal but after reading the other comments it looks like the same experience every day of the week. Don't think we will be returning.

the service was simply shocking. Every round of orders was wrong, the food arrived over a half hour period - at a table of 4 people. Even the manager when i tried to get help was beyond ensuring we could get the meals we ordered. It would have been comedic if they hadn't actually ruined our evening out of sheer incompetence.

It's funny how an average meal can turn out to be an awesome experience just based on the service rendered by the staff. Food is okay... But the service at Monte was nothing short of excellent... our waiter Casandra was friendly, helpful, courteous, professional and sincere.... A real pleasure being served by her....

We had the platter for 2 & 1 but did not receive the correct order. The food was however very delicious. Please try to have only one waiter come and ask if the guests are still fine. As we had a few different people asking us the same Q every 5 minutes.

This is the fourth time that I give John Dorys, Monte a 5 star review and I will keep on doing just that. This is an excellent restaurant. Good food and great service. The waiters are always friendly and so is the management. The staff make you feel important and spend time with you. I will always keep going back to John Dorys Monte! Thanks guys!

my experience at John dory Monte Casino was a memorable one, the service was very good , our waiter Clement treated me and my family like a royal family his service was very good , we will definitely come back to John dory and credit to your manager lucky he also played a part in making our night a memorable one

We had lunch at your restaurant today at Monte Casino. I was very disappointed. We all had the hake and chips. A piece of fish in a pan with a few chips, no garnish, no mayo sauce or anything of that nature. We also ordered wine by the glass, no ice offered. R400. later and no desire to go back.

Amazing prawns & great sea food platters. Try the Lover's Platter for 2.

Excellent service. Manager and staff are friendly and quick. Atmosphere is quite nice. Would recommend sitting inside if you are on a date.

Rip off of note. Placed a takeaway order - a substantial order at that. Just got home to find half of the food missing. Paid for but never got sashimi, dragon rolls or maki. I'll never go back
