Very quite and tranquil place with friendly owners and the spa is a must

We went to Lions Rest to get away for our anniversary. Had such an awesome experience. Ethel an Thabo are such lovely and accommodating hosts. They went beyond to make our anniversary extra special. The food was good and the company even better. Its the perfect place if u looking for a cosy and peaceful getaway. The lions are spectacular and the farm animals are such a pleasure to see. Really appreciate it guys.

The owner is very knowledgeable about wildlife as a Professor in Zoology. He is very generous in sharing that knowledge and very kind hearted. Lion's Rest is a very tranquil atmosphere and an ideal stop between Gauteng and Clarens. The place is situated in the Eastern Free State and about 1hour 30 minutes from Gauteng.

What a beautiful tranquil place. The staff are very willing to assist where ever possible, Ethels food was scrumptious. Thank you Ethel. Thabo has such knowledge on Lions and conservation in general - I left with so much more knowledge about wildlife! I will most definitely return. Thank you to all at Lions Rest for giving me such an awesome relaxing 3 days.
