Maanlig Oord

This camping site only consists of two bathrooms that are a drive away, there are no water sources near the stands and the quality of management and customer service is poor. I hope to see better attitude from the staff that so repeatedly tell everyone that the shop is closed throughout the day when supply is ergently needed. I expect better from the Maanlig oord in the future.

The quality of management and customer service is poor. Personnel are so rude and sarcatic all the time. There are only 2 small bathrooms that never has toilet paper or hand soap available. There are no water available at the campung sites, and water available cannot be used as preferred. Management decides when you have used enough water and will tell you to use the dams water instead. Braaiers are never cleaned while you are staying there! The prices for the chalets are soo ridiculous high for no private bathrooms! . For the price you pay per night, I expected sooo much beter !

With the boats thats coming from Steve's place it makes it a very terrible experience to try and fish at Maanlig.if the boats are not there the dam would be alot better aswell as what you pay for.

Awesome place its child friendly and lots of fun. Its perfect for a fun fishing trip with the family. There are bathroom facilities, electrical outlets at every stand. a playground, a restaurant and place to put your boat in the water. Its a good price as prices go. This is the place to go when you are looking for a place to spend a fun weekend

Awesome place. Love that is child friendly. Very clean. They don't mind music playing. The only problem we had was with the manager that runs the place. She is not very friendly, but besides that we had no problems.

Very nice and clean stands with electricity for some stands toilets kept clean, just some stands are small and some stands you need to walk a distance to go to the loo

The place is nice and a good getaway facility for the family but l was disappointed by their reception and change of altitude after our arrival at the premises. We were told on site only after arrival that the place is a private facility. Seems we were the only black campers that night and couldn't help feel a hint of racial profiling: that's after our two day reservation was cancelled to one night on account of a club fishing competition: however, our non fish competiting neighbors of a different racial profile informed us that they were not told to leave despite the fishing event . Our saving grace came from riverlodge nearby taking us in at short notice. I would like to ask Juju M and others like 702 radio station to investigate the place to confirm my racial profiling suspicion.

I have always rated this place 4 * but today I can't agree. 9 times of which was yesterday I was charged R160.00 to launch the boat. Today when I sent my child in due to a foot injury they charged us R 200 after discussing the matter it was reasoned that R200 correct amount. That is said I guess the other 9 same amounts were incorrect. As if .
