Very nice green lawn & big trees for camping, unfortunately the ablutions & kitchen are not maintained, at least we had hot water. Braai facilities are also not well looked after. Neat swimming pool & kiddies splash pool. Very close to shops & very nice scenery in the area. Perfect location for mountain bike routes that are in the surrounding area. Famous Fanie Botha hiking trail also pass close by.
The most beautiful scenery and beautiful hiking trail leads from this dilapidated resort. I wish I could rate the place based on its surroundings, because then I would give it But if I only have to rate the resort, I would give it a sad zero. Outdoor taps no longer close and water just runs from them, the pool is a pond, the buildings are in disrepair and it seems like the resort no longer functions. Not all is lost though, since if you love a hike, birding or mountain biking, the Loerie Trail that leads from here is really beautiful and well-kept.
Bathrooms are disgusting. The ladies toilets don't have seats and often don't flush, they leak so much that the water starts running down the steps out of the bathroom, there was sewage running out at the dish washing basins.
Great place with lots of potential, needs some TLC, but wonderful day! Ablutions were clean with running water.
Decent site with ablutions. Although not as fancy as others, empty which is what we like :-
Cheap campsite next to the sable river. Has gone down hill in the last 10 years
Basic camping accommodation with clean ablution.
