Amazing "hidden Gem". Located near many equally hidden amazing tourist attractions. Staff are friendly and in general create a family/home-like feeling. Accommodation is available in a range from relatively basic to rather fancy - depending on your needs and/or finances. The facilities/lodgings are also nestled in-between untouched bush - creating a feeling of comfortable isolation from city life. Many activities are available on site, including yoga classes, a pub, a pool table and swimming pool among others. My stays here have always been amazing and I will be returning ASAP.
Beautiful location, felt like we were staying on an island. Loved the rustic atmosphere although some of the things need cleaning and maintenance such as the decor and toilet seat, which had broken off. Jeremy was very helpful. The bartenders were very attentive. The bedding was quite moldy and we were at risk of being pooped on by geckos in our sleep, but that's nature for you.
I used the online booking system, emailed and phoned - No response or help. I phoned in twice. My details were taken down during the first call after I spoke to them about my booking and all the emails I've sent. I was told that they would get back to me ASAP. I decided to phone again since there was no sign of help after the first call. During the second call, my details were taken down *again* and I had to explain my entire issue for the second time, apparently this issue was not reported after the first call. This was days ago, still no response to my emails and no sign of actually being helped. I really wanted to like this place, but the service is terrible. I've read a few reviews that have had the same issue. I hope that the service quality will change. Until then, I will not be booking here.
If I could give zero stars I would. We booked the ensuite cabin. Upon arrival, we paid the rest of the money then where not provided with the towels we specificay asked for before arrival, were not provided with a code to leave the premises and had to ask fellow customers when we tried to leave. We found the cabin not in the state of the cabin as promised by the pictures. The cabin had dirty floors, wet walls and non of the windows or doors, were able to close properly. The curtains had stains of varied body fluids and dirty hands on them, with dead and alive mosquitos hanging on. The bedding was dirty with multiple stains and moldy pillows, with mold stains on them. The bathroom was in a similar state, where the likelihood of you coming out with foot fungus is higher than coming out clean. After complaining we were put up in one of the tree houses for a night, which was a little drier but still had moldy pillows, dirty bedding and we spent the night being rained on through the roof. We had initially booked a whole week but only stayed for one night and still have not been reimbursed for our reservation. If you want to relax and protect your health, during your holiday, I would not recommend staying here. Giving - 4 stars. My suggestion to the place do not rip off your customers and invest into insulation, new bedding, and better cleaning strategies. Also properly roof your bathroom and cabins.
Been to Mantis 3 times now and had a blast every time. Can't wait to visit again! Staff are always very friendly and helpful. This is home away from home Rooms: They have many different rooms, each with their own style and character. Hope to stay in as many of their cabins/tps as possible. Nearby activities: Beach is a 15minute walk away, yoga studio on premises, surf lessons offered. They have a board with activities offered as well. Safety: They have gated parking, and a 2nd gate that needs a security code to get into the premises. Always felt safe there Food & drinks: They have a lovely Cafe and Bar
If you are looking for a peaceful and calming time away from home - this is definitely the place to go... Absolutely amazing vibe and people! Definitely recommended and definitely going again!Rooms: 4/5
Mantis and Moon is a fantastic lodge with very friendly staff especially the Barman and great food. Beautiful, Artistic and serene.. A must for nature lovers! We will definitely visit again
Beautiful location, feels almost tropical. We stayed in the Lotus Delux and it's so spacious. Personally, a million times better than any room. We're definitely coming back!Rooms: 5/5
Chilled vibes, chilled music. With nature surrounding you and the use of wood for most of the structure it feels like you are lost in a scenic forrest.Service: 4/5
All the staff were either too drunk or high to give good service and stayed up late playing loud music and making too much noise thank god for loud shedding which cut the power in the early hours of the morningRooms: 1/5
