Masiphumelele Library -opens their doors to all who are hungry for knowledge and to bridge the digital divide.
Masiphumelele library was built by the NGO MasiCorp in 2003 and handed over to the City of Cape Town as a satellite of the neighbouring Fish Hoek Library. MasiCorp went on to build an extension and in 2010 local funding was obtained largely from Peninsula Beverages and Exclusive Books to build an Outreach centre.In 2012 the Library achieved Community Library status in the City of Cape Town.
our mission is to embrace social inclusion by offering a traditional library service plus outreach activities which give value-added services in support of the communities' informal and formal educational, cultural, recreational, information and life skills needs.

Free Outreach activities: computer literacy classes, internet access, job readiness classes, youth programmes, reading programmes, literacy classes, art classes, film shows, Girls group, Homework club, craft classes and storytelling.
