Truly superb! One-stop-shop. If they do not stock it - they are very on the ball with excellent references. The staff are extremely clued up and are able to give you sound advice. For a novice DIY as myself, sometimes I would just gesture and say "you know that other thingy" or even "not sure how it works"... they are super quick to understand and offer assistance. You are always welcomed with a hearty Melkbos smile. Become a regular, and they will remember all the finest details about you as you may wish. I would always drive an extra 30 minutes, passing several hardware stores, to get to Melkbos Hardware.
Brights, Builders and Build It, take a visit to Melkbos Hardware and take note to see how hardware is done, properly. Staff that are present, and you don't have to first hunt them down for assistance, and staff that know the products that they sell and can offer sound advice in a friendly manner. This I found at Melkbos Hardware. Mozay was very friendly and helped me solve a small DIY issue that I had, with product at hand during his lunch break, nogal. This could not be done at any of the other hardware stores mentioned above. Melkbos Hardware is definitely worth a visit for all your DIY and hardware etc. needs.
Great store, found exactly what I needed with absolute ease. The only problem I had was a shop assistant with poor customer etiquette, it seemed fun for him to yell across the isle if you miss what appears to be a sanitizing station. I continued to spend my money even after the shop assistant continued to taunt me and make jokes aloud as he could see I was annoyed.
I was not happy with the way I was treated by the colored lady cashier she is rude
The cashier Unita is a true asset to this store. She is extremely helpful and very polite to the customers. She knows the stock in the store. My rating to her is 10 stars. I will definitely be back again. Thank you Unita for what you do for the customers. Ken melkbosstrand
Very friendly staff and well organized shop. Never had a bad experience yet. .
staff is friendly enough and the products are of good quality but the actual process of buying goods was really annoying . bought two shelving units , both were incorrectly priced and the manager had to come and solve it . the price was changed but i still got ripped off as the large bracket i bought was not the price on the shelf . never shopping there again if they keep this up there is a difference between a R35 bracket and charging a customer R42
This place deliver, only problem i have is parking!! I had to go to Brights because i could not get parking, also it is difficult to get in and out of your small parking because there's a lot of traffic.
Love supporting the local community. Always have all the things you need for DIY. I you need advice they will always have some suggestions. Passionate about DIY.
Friendly, helpful staff and reasonable prices. Wide range and caters for DIY on end of spectrum, to buiders on the other end. Have bought water tanks order out item to nuts & bolts. Good neighbourhood store and conveniently located.
