This bank has been nothing but a pleasure for my small business that's growing. Mercantile has grown with me in slow and fats times and their fees are so exceptionally reasonable! Being that it's part of capitec transferring between personal and business accounts is seamless and free! Definitely the best experience I've ever had with a bank specifically for business!

I've been with Mercantile business banking for over a year and will gladly warn any business owner to stay as far away as possible. There is litterally nothing good about this bank. The online banking is terrable not only by being very limited in what you can do but the reliablity is pathetic. 90% of my business is international, to receive funds still involves a paper system, making a deal through a deal room for exchange and waiting up to two weeks for funds to clear. Sbtw, Standard bank is max 2 days and no paperwork.  Stay away!!!

One star is too much! The worst bank in this country. Stay far away! Always offline, and I have been trying to get my tax certificates now but it is not on their system. Phoned them for the third time just to hear all previous requests where not even logged. Absolutely pathetic!!!!!

Such big bank can not help me reset my account profile, they advised me to contact my bank relationship officer who is off duty.  Is very painful not to be able to access internet banking.

Mercantile Bank are extremely unreliable when it comes to business banking.  They made a simple process of transferring funds to international beneficiaries entirely unworkable. Rather than working with us as the client to find an efficient solution it seemed as though they intentionally put obstacles in the way.  It took over 3 weeks to determine what the requirements were and even then the bank kept moving the goalposts. We have never experienced this sort of behaviour from other banks.  We have been forced to move away from Mercantile Bank and find a new, reliable banking partner.  I recommend any and all businesses steer clear of Mercantile Bank.

I have been trying to get my funds out of Mercantile Bank for a month now. It is funds that was giving to Krytoro to fund my Trading account. Now Mercantile Bank is holding these funds. I can get no info on the solution going forward. All they say is that they waiting on SARB. Surely a bank cannot hold back your funds. My sadness is that there is no sign that they want to help in this situation. I dnt think I'm the only one as Hello Peter has many clients with this issue. If you cannot trust our banking system who can you trust. I pleed to the bank Manager to Help.

It's the 3rd day of phoning, holding, being out through and once lucky to actually have a conversation with a Consultant who committed to email me an outline of the lending structure and requirements, to no avail. It's so terribly disappointing to be encountering this level of service from such an organisation.

Terrible customer service. I have been trying to call all morning and no one answers the phones.
