Rmb Private Bank, Sandton

Tried since 23 Feb to unblock an account. There is a problem dating back to 2003 when changes were made from CC to Pty Ltd. 20 years later bank closes account. Private bankers unresponsive, stating we are escalating problem 5 days later they discover the 2003 changes and all they can do escalate. RMB what a terrible experience

I keep receiving Private Bank statements for another customer. They are posted to my home address. I have phoned the Private Bank on more than 4 occasions to let them know that I am receiving someone else's information. And explained that the other customer's address must be incorrect, and that this is in contravention of the POPI act. This month I received another statement for this person....

RMB Service Suite is advertised as being open 24 x 7, however when I called twice this morning, neither of my calls were answered. As a premier bank RMB need to do better in terms of service delivery.

There are better private banks out there. Simple vehicle financing transaction has taken more than 2 days and still no nearer a quote and in the meantime the dealership sold the vehicle to another customer.

A R21k fraud on my RMB Card reported 4 weeks ago has not been reversed and I’ve had zero feedback from the fraud department. Cannot trust this institution with my money. Have to go through the inconvenience of changing banks it have no choice. Be very careful of opening an account with this bunch as they don’t care about protecting your money

Been a customer myself and dealt with their private bankers with my own clients. Rather go to Investec if you want satisfactory service.
