Very nice shop with big variety. Bought a bigger size globe. It was the last of its kind on the shelve, and according to the worn packaging one could assume it was older stock. When the item was rang up on the cash register, it was R20 cheaper than the price on the box. To our surprise the assistant adjusted the item to the price tag after we expressed our excitement over the discount. In her defense, she claimed that the difference will be taken from her salary. REALLY!
Service is lovely, the sales guy was very helpful. This is a one stop shop for all you home needs. The prices are very reasonable for quality items. Bought a 55” inch curved smart Samsung TV and it’s absolutely lovely.
Their wide variety of clothing linen is amazing, however, the staff were not very helpful at 16:30 half an hour before closing. I work until 16:00, so I couldn't arrive earlier. I don't expect a super excited person helping me at that time, just someone who takes my questions seriously and tries to help.
A lot more options these days. There are few things you won't find. Lights, rugs, bathroom stuff, kitchen potts and utensils, cloths and material for anything you can think of. Buttons, wall stickers, candles etc. Staff not always friendly but still knowledgable. Prices are good. Make sure you have some time to browse, you might find something you don't expect. Remember Friday's they are closed for a while in the afternoon
We have bought all our kitchen appliances from Metro as they match and beat prices from other stores. Their lighting section has a wide variety of chandeliers and lights and they are very well priced. We have also purchased material from them and again there is a huge selection to choose from.
I bought an Ellies inverter from Metro Menlyn. When I opened the packaging I found that the inverter had been tampered with. I contacted Jack in sales, explained to him the condition of the inverter, and he said I must return the unit. When I arrived at Metro they checked the inverter and agreed that it was not new. They refunded my money immediately. 10 out of 10 for the customer service. I will definitely shop at Metro again.
This shop took me by surprise - definitely one of the better stocked habidashery-ish stores! Loved the fabric and patterns but it is a bit unorganised. Top tip: DIG to find the design you're looking for. Some fabric rolls are hidden under piles more :
Beautiful materials for all your needs!
I was so dissapointted, I found the perfect lace but they had 2.2m left on the roll and they refused to sell me 1m. They want me to buy 2.2 m or 0.5m. The lace cost R2800 per meter. Would rather go to oriental plaza in JHB.
Metro Curtains rude customer experience. I needed a place for alterations for my curtains, but the lady rudely said they don't help customers if the material wasn't bought there and if they didn't make the curtains. They made me feel so bad for merely calling. Won't recommend :-
