Neat and clean rooms. The staff were very friendly. The food was excellent. Safe parking. The bar is also something to see. Over 1000 ties on the walls. The road not so much....Rooms: 4/5
It was a great stay in an old restored hotel that has still retained its old world charm. All the staff members were friendly, especially Dwayne. The restaurant is fantastic. Food & drinks: The restaurant is superb, good menu offering and everything reasonably priced. Great wine selection.
Thank you to Santa and her team for our memorable stay at the lodge. The lodge exceded all our expectations. A special thank you to Anneline the waitress, she always had a smile and her customer services were impeccable. Santa you have a winning team and I will definitely recommend your establishment to anyone traveling to Van Rhynsdorp

This hotel is run like a boarding house when they have a tour bus staying. Meals are set at a rigid time for only 1 hour duration. "Please be punctual" - how many private holidaymakers are interested in having breakfast promptly at 07h00? There was no flexibility, but rather a "take it or leave it" attitude from the manager. We won't go back.
When we walked into the room it had a sewerage smell. Then we realized the toilet plumbing was linked to the basin. The room could do with an upgrade. Furthermore the food is good. Service is good. Prices are good.Rooms: 1/5
The rooms are clean. Very baby friendly. The staff is helpful and friendly. The food at the restaurant is great. Secure parking and just a really comfortable stay over all
The best part was the kitchen. A VERY old place, but nice.Rooms: 2/5
We had a lovely breakfast at the lodge enroute to the Cederberge....very friendly staff...bought a nice bottle port and jasmine oil to take to the mountains...Service: 5/5
The self catering accommodation is nice and family rooms are well affordable and well equipped. The communal kitchen is well equiped and clean. Me and my family will definitely use this establishment again. Friendly service in a lovely town. Accommodation have safe parking and is within walking distance from a well stocked Spar supermarket.
