Went in for a surgical procedure. Excellent. Staff Nurse was excellent. Pity, I should have taken her Name. Kept me well informed with a smile on her face all the time. Reassuring me i would be OK. An honest to Goodness lady of the lamp and Patient advocate. Truth be told, she actually sent the lunch back to the kitchen because it was the wrong order. Thank you standing up for me in my time of need. You are an inspiration to all the others.
Thank you for excellent service from Entabeni Hospital Staff. We were greeted friendly at admissions and helped quickly. Then off to Orthopaedic Ward. Warm welcome and treated very nice. Ward was clean, food was good. Theater was in perfect condition. I have just got absolute good things to say; thanks to all who treated me with so much respect.
Used to be a good hospital back in the day. Nurses are there to earn a salary, without the passion. I will certainly not be checking in there next time. Dulce cafe should definitely be closed. Their prices are shocking, leave alone the fact that you still have to fork out for parking if you visiting loved ones.
I wish visiting hours and the wait before the visitors are allowed in would be a much better experience. As it is people stand outside, battered by the elements, waiting for the doors to open to maximise the 30 or 45 minutes 3pm and 7:15pm visiting times they have to visit their loved ones. Management should consider a solution. Asap.
Very disappointed with the admin staff, the case manager messed up my dates of admission and discharge. I have called the hospital many times even sent emails , only to be told the case manager is working on it. The case manager is to slow in submitting to medical aid. Its been 6 weeks now and the hospital bills is still not sorted out for my medical aid to pay. I have paid my own money for short falls and I cannot claim from my gap cover until I receive the statement from medical aid.
The wait time at the emergency unit, now outsourced to ER Consulting Inc, is pathetic. Only 1 doctor on duty, no communication/updates to patients or waiting family. The fee's charged for being a patient at this hospital should be congruent to the services rendered. Unfortunately, it's high fee's for low levels of service.
My Dad was in the ICU cooper ward, and we encountered a horrible nurse. An Indian form India ,she was shouting at us in full view of the other patients. She asked us to get out, although she was not his nurse. She lacked compassion and respect . All we wanted was to pray for my Dad who was critically ill. Unfortunately my Dad passed. If this is how relatives are treated, I personally would not recommend this hospital. This women should pack her bags and go back to her country.
The medical aid plan I'm on, excludes this hospital in its network hospital list. Despite that, I still chose to be admitted there, and pay the % shortfall that my medical aid wasn't going to cover. The hospital had me pay the FULL estimated admission cost upfront, before being admitted Aside from my admission experience being unpleasant, now for OVER 3 weeks, the hospital is NOT refunding me monies owed to me. It's "technical issues" excuses week, after week! What nonsense is this that a whole PRIVATE hospital financial system can be out of order for 3 weeks??? Why do we pay medical aid so we can afford medical care at private medical facilities, for the same experiences as being at government hospitals? If I NEVER set foot at that hospital, it will be too soon! Choosing this hospital is a BIG regret for me!
Been there and stayed for a day. Worse hospital experience. Was at the new wing Cope icu. Supposed to be the best ward. Had op at 3pm and given a meal 9.30pm tea and half peanutbutter sandwich. Bedding bath gets changed at 11.30pm after numerous calls to have it changed. Nurse disappears and not there wen u need. Asiiispreadspreaspreferms let me
Thankful to Dr Sobhaka Chris Her courtesy, patient care and professionalism is unmatched. Really went out of her way in order to assist my parents. We need more Doctors like you! Thank you!
