O'Galito is an upmarket restaurant specialising in preparing exceptionally fine Portuguese dishes, complimented with world class service.

Description

O'Galito inherits its cuisine from our Portuguese forefathers and is reminiscent of L.M. in the old days when readily available prawns, langoustines, crab, lobsters and oysters were prepared in boundless platters. Although we specialise in seafood, a full a la carte menu includes the tradition peri-peri chicken, fillet steak, duck, rabbit, and amongst others oxtail.

Where do I start. We got there, and we're seated up stairs. It took 15 minutes for the waiter to attend us. When he did, he was very welcoming and kind. We ordered. The complementary rolls are quite nice. It took another 20+ minutes for our food to be ready. I had the steak and calamari. Asked the waiter to swap the rump for sirloin. The steak was very dry, and not because I asked it to be medium. It was just too dry. The chips were nice, and the calamari was good. My partner had the seafood pasta. It was very nice but the protein portions are very few. Everything cost R350 including 1 drink each, so you do get value for money. Not too sure I'd come back.
Good vibe, friendly waiters nice setting. They did not wow us with great food but dis not disappoint us either, we ordered, and hot exactly what we wanted. The sushi bar was already closed when we got there :- All in all, good experience
Went there today for my Birthday, had seafood pasta and my wife had seared salmon, both dishes were excellent, my dish was rich and tasty and the seafood was plentiful. My wife said her salmon was the best she'd had in a long time. The service was very good to, both friendly and efficient. Definitely worth a visit.
Mmm such delicious sushi! The very best. Everything from them is beyond delicious. Very well priced with large portion size. It's a favourite restaurant for me. Wings. Good. Pasta. Good. Sushi. Good. Seafood. Good. Just everything is good! Exceptional service always.
Food was outstanding. We were a party of seven and tried five different mains from the menu. Portions were generous and all dishes were cooked to perfection. Service was on the slow side.
We spent a lovely evening enjoying good food and wine. The waiter was attentive and his service was high class.Food: 4/5

Extensive menu - offering a large variety of classic menu items as well as trendy dishes. Colourful and tasty cocktails and shooters. Affordable cuisine, and offering many all-day specials. Friendly and cheerful staff. What more could a diner ask for. Highly recommended.
