The reviews are very surprising compared to my experience, yes there's a lot of rules but they aren't impossible, the bed was my only problem as it was old and uncomfortable, check out is vital as that's the only way to receive your deposit , the rooms are exactly what is shown on pictures, there's towels, there's everything you need, it's clean and spacious and the staff is friendly

A warm receiving from the reception staff upon arrival. Room was organised quick. Very spacious compared to hotel rooms in similar price range. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The family really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return.

I booked a one night stay and it was the worst experience of my life! I checked in late around 4pm. The sheets had stains! No pillow cases! No towels! The toilet had dirty water that was not flushed meaning whoever cleaned that room drained the dirty water down the toilet without flushing! There was a filthy cloth on the basin! The manager is also very rude! Do not book here!!!

I really don't understand the bad reviews. This place is clean, comfortable, the rooms are big and sunny. The personnel was very friendly from reception to management, maintenance, cleaning service. It's also a great location, walking distance to a shopping center and a police station. I will definitely go back to Odyssey luxury appartements with my family and recommend to friends and family.

We stayed at Odyssey not so luxurious apartments from the 04th April to the 19th April. The first night the sheets had blood stains and the bed cover also had some sort of stains. We weren't aware of this till the following morning. At night the only staff present is the security and a maintenance guy. They do not have  an emergency phone in the apartment. The housekeeping do a very poor job. Many times dishes weren't washed properly. Earlier in the morning when  they're cleaning, they're very loud. They take towels before you can even bath and only return them around 5pm. They do not notify guests of loadshedding nor do they have a back up generator in case of loadshedding. We  stayed in the dark. During our stay at  we had no water nor electricity for two days. The apartment didn't make a plan for water so we can atleast flush toilets. When they changed the sheets for the second time because they only changed them after a week which I didn't like, they gave us patched up sheets. They had no extra blanket in the wardrobe we had to ask for one several times. They constantly make up something so they can charge us for damages. When we took our grievances to the manager she called her staff in and they all denied all my complaints. It was just back and forth bickering. I felt ganged up on and the manager denied all our complaints. She advised she believes her employees to which they tried to accuse us of the bloodstains on the sheets which  clearly looked washed in the fabric. The manager was very rude and condescending to her guests. At some points she was being sarcastic saying she thinks guests wipe dishes with the bath towels.  I would never recommend this place to anyone, the manager and her "son" I suppose are very arrogant people.

I had the worst experience ever. Still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. Rooms not as advertised. Horrible beds. Worst management I have ever come accross. Plus no one wants to assist in helping. So my stay is now turning into a formal charge at SAPS for fraud and entrapment.

I had to pay for the room service , the lady demanded a tip and also it’s been 5 weeks now and still I haven’t received my refund, this is so unprofessional!  Safety: 100% guaranteed

Stayed here for 5 nights with my family.  From the reservation to payment,  arrival to departure,  and everything in between,  it was superb.  The location is outstanding.  The apartments are furnished extremely well with everything you need. The staff from reception to security to housekeeping to management are amazing,  their number 1 priority are their guests and they go above and beyond to ensure that your experience is a great one.  I highly recommend this place and I guarantee that we will be back

Odyssey Luxury Apartments it’s a quite good place indeed but it lacks hospitality staff. Quality. When I called the reception the phone it ranged without being answered up until I reached the place as I was on my way. Upon arriving at the beautiful place, the receptionist wasn’t welcoming at all. As she attending the guest before me she just left to chat with her out which wasn’t concerning hotel business at all. A one night stay was a bad experience. A good place with a wrong staff, not fit for the hospitality industry.

Booked three times , in the last month. On the 23 Jan 2022, booked a two bedroom apartment, duvets torn and smelly. Reported to management and was offered a free night. Accepted the apologies. Re booked a standard room for ten days. Checked out today without my deposit being refunded with the excuse that refund was paid on the 30th January. From previous reviews this seems to be normal practice.
