Wonderful, friendly hosts and staff! Delicious food and wine! What an amazing experience accompanied with live music as well!
This is a beautiful place! The tractor ride was amazing and the wine and snacks at the top of the mountain were absolutely fantastic! Thank you Andrew and Christine!
This is a ZERO STAR review and a warning about the owner Andrew Jeager, who used to own the Paddagang restaurant in Tulbagh as well. We arranged to have a wedding there for 80 people, payed the deposit of 50%, but had to move the date march 2020 due to Covid. Andrew agreed to this, but later he sold the restaurant and didn't even let us know. We eventually found out about it via friends. We contacted him to either return the deposit or arrange for some other compensation but he refused and currently is not willing to communicate with us at all. I am very disillusioned and can't believe someone would behave like that.
It was a nice friendly environment. The waffles and ice cream seem to a hit with a group of children who were visiting. The hosts and staff were friendly. We had a cup of coffee before going off for a walk up the tractor trail up the mountain. Beautiful views of the valley.Service: 5/5
Authentic wine farm with lovely hosts. Beautiful views of the mountains. We went on a Saturday morning and we were greeted by their generous host and some live music. We enjoyed fresh waffles with an array of toppings.
What a fantastic spot! We stopped by on a Saturday morning for wine tasting & waffles! Delicious on both accounts. Andrew was incredibly welcoming and interesting to talk to. Wonderful to meet the farmer and hear about the both the challenges and the joys of running a farm in the area. Definitely recommended.Service: 5/5
What a gem, highly recommend this wine farm experience. The stunning scenery located at the foot of the Tulbagh mountains. The wine tasting was with the owners Andrew and his lovely wife. They really have some serious wines that are so delicious but super down to earth owners who take the time to explain their passion. Loved the Chenin Blanc with a real oak taste which was remarkable, the Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon were my favorites. Beautiful grounds and gardens, we visited for a day trip whilst in Tulbagh, but can’t wait to actually stay here in one of their beautiful cottages. We will do definitely be back! Thanks so much for an amazing experience! Adam and Kelly Bentley with Milo
We enjoyed the tractor ride up the mountain to a lookout point to view the valley and experience an awesome sunset. We were treated with a wine tasting and a picnic . Both very excellently presented. Both Andrew and his wife Christine were very hospitable and and told interesting facts about the environment which we enjoyed learning about. They produce stunning wines and sell home made products at their farm shop. Highly recommended experience!
What a beautiful venue high up in the Tulbach mountains. The waffles with ice cream are outstanding and staff cannot do enough to make your stay extra special with a smile. Lovely 1 & 2 bedroom cotagges, manor house and club house. We will go back!
The cottage we stayed in was clean and very comfortable, the garden well kept and the pool area, big with lovely facilities. We had the privilege of going on the tractor ride...so informative, and the picnic at the top of the mountain, delightful!! I can't wait to go again...THANK YOU SO MUCH !!Rooms: 5/5
