What a pleasant experience. I am shocked that applying for my first Australian passport was this simple and easy. Usually these things are nightmares anywhere and all the staff from the guards at the gate to security and the wonderful Interviewing Officer, it was just a wonderful experience. The fact that it's now not even 3 full weeks and my passport is issued is just Fantastic. It makes a difference when your team is all on the same page and working together for the better. You can definitely see this in the community the High Commission has built From my brief experience.
Called several times before call was received… very unhelpful and direct to the point of being rude. Conflicting information not addressed so left in the dark my time and effort wasted… Felt like it was an too much effort for the woman on the other end to engage at all! Asked about web porthole glitches and no information given on this either… Phone put down in my ear.
I agree with Matt below. I received exceptional service despite my many questions. The lady that I dealt with was very knowledgeable, pleasant and always responded promptly. She was able to give me good advice and happy to offer it. Finding the building was easy and even the carguard was pleasant.
Fast, efficient, helpful and just amazing.
I'm 100% certain that most of the poor reviews arise from frustrations regarding Visas or immigration, which is relatively unrelated to the services they offer. I've received nothing but good service from the High commission, I commend them.
I had an excellent experience today. I went in for apostille and notary services and everyone - from security check-in to the receptionists at the desk - were absolutely lovely, super friendly and helpful, every step of the way. I was braced for the worst after reading previous reviews, but encountered zero negativity. Parking near the Commission was easily accessible, the location is safe, and I had zero wait or hassle. Many thanks to those that assisted us today.
Make sure all visa applications are approved online before going to the consulate as there is no help at the at the gate
Very bad service. No one replies to the emails. They don't care. It takes so long for them to process visa. Worst immi experience ever. They don't even deserve one star. My mum is sure to miss my graduation because of them.
I am trying to find out if we need any reference about vacation for Covid 19 for Australia.
Worst embassy ever. I've never seen such a hopeless immigration service. I applied for a visitors visa for my parents to come for Xmas and 2 months later still no response and Xmas has gone. Updates on account show nothing. This is unheard off considering they have been to Australia before you would think they have all the info in the system. Honestly looking at a 8 paged form and making a few phone calls you would expect them to push volumes of applications a day. Better to be declined in a day than to wait for months to get a rejection.
