Piketberg Museum came into being thanks to its benefactor, the late Mr. A J Liebenberg, who bequeathed his house and some of its contents to the Piketberg Municipality in 1983. For the historian it is an archive where much can be learnt about the origins

I was in awe of the synagogue. Very well organised.
This was a lovely surprise! The museum is well cared for, very interesting and the curator friendly and knowledgable. The museum is in the vicinity of many other heritage buildings in the town, and it was clear that Piketberg deems heritage important. The museum is member of the Swartland museum group - I know that they are an active organisation which gives one comfort about the museum's future. We could not visit the synagoge next door, but once PPC has completed their 100 year-old display in the annex they are building there, it will be worth stopping over again.

Was a fun to stop here because the sites of this town just looks promising and beautiful churches and museum which look lovely inside even for the building it self tells a story inside the wonders of ancient times of the boesmen and cavemen.
