A beautiful visit to see how life happened over a century ago. Sadly not as well kept as it could be, although it was explained that these were being fixed. Still one can fully grasp the history if the first Cape pioneers, see how tobacco was rolled, understand how water generated electricity and see various building and furniture styles. I can imagine that this museum in fully working order would be absolutely amazing. The highlight was learning to make candles from animal fat and group bookings can be made for school or adult trips for a variety of homesteading workshops and demonstrations. There are several animals running about and a donkey cart to take you in a ride. The museum has a cute little shop that sells handmade candles, gifts and the infamous witblits. The staff are increadibly friendly, the bathrooms clean and there is ample parking.
The state of service and facility is very bad. For a historical place and museum invest in renovating and adding more cultural divers community inclusive activities. Walking around the place, at the 'race track' we saw people drinking in their cars looked like an outdoor shibeen. Where is mamagememt
When a friend told me to come visit him in Worcester, I seized the opportunity to come to Klein Plaasie Museum. On arrival they offered me a tour guide in a language of my choice. The lady was very friendly, very helpful and the tour was very informative. It is good to know that all of the original display items is kept in perfectly good condition. Much of the activities is in daily operational like soap and candles making, bread baking, wine brewing as well as the famous WITBLITS. At the end of the tour, I was given the opportunity to taste the WITBLITS. I LOVED EVERY MOMENT AND RECOMMEND THAT YOU VISIT THIS MUSEUM AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE.

Loved our visit, staff was friendly and helpful. Kids had a ball.
There is ample parking and the staff are very friendly. The bathrooms were also clean. The food was average and you need to be patient.
Groups are better off, while visiting privately there is no train available etc This is a lovely open air museum, just needs to be better maintained and upgraded
Loved how chilled it was and I always love museums of all sorts. Only thing is this one had no real direction or guidance
You really get a idea of how we used to live and work way back when. I love the fact that they have working models great to touch and feel.
Soft and open easy for kids and even old foks that just neads to relax and history is major here
