Protea Hotel Hunters Rest

Exceptional reception, wonderful rooms, and great customer care. From the entrance, the resort already provides much needed serenity. The reception team is very friendly and thoughtful. They offered assistance to make my stay a wonderful one. Considering the fact that we were a group of more than 100 guests attending a conference. They did well catering to all of us. The conference facilities were also well managed.

The rooms were a bit small and cramped. The bathrooms were dirty. Service was slow. But probably the best you can get in Rustenburg. The scenery was beautiful. Hunters rest is situated in the mountains. With the history of George Wellington behind it, this resort is stunning. There were many activities to do. Absolutely loved itRooms: 2/5

Great resort. Had so much fun. Managed to do quad-biking which was really cool. Visited the restaurant and the food was really nice. Will definitely visit again. The only issue I had with the place was the monkeys.

The first stay over was nice, rooms are pretty cute, food is HORRIBLE! DO NOT go there for the buffet unless u want runny tummies and little to no food for a BUFFET. service is also horrible, our waiter really wasn't friendly or helpful or bothered taking our drinks and clearing out the table, we had to tell him because the flies were bothering us so much.

We are extremely disappointed, unhappy, annoyed, frustrated & irritated with our accommodation "Deluxe Room" unit we booked at ANEW Resort Hunters Rest. Unit Defects / Faults; -   Door lock broken, can be opened from the outside with any key and or object. -   Patio lights not working at all. -   Telephone doesn't have any dialing tone / completely dead. -   Aircon not switching on. requested a fan, all we got were excuses. -   Water only at lukewarm temperature / more cold than warm. -   Toilet not flushing at all / no water running into bowl. -   No drinking glasses. -   TV channels are snowy and some even not watchable. -   Bathroom door defective. I honestly feel that for an amount of R3128.33 which I am requesting the calculation formula for per night and having do deal with so many defects / faults etc. it's completely unacceptable. Does ANEW Resorts not have any quality control before and after each unit are vacated???

This place is beautiful. I give a 3 in terms of housekeeping. Rooms have everything just a thorough and proper cleaning will be nice. I'm coming back soon with my family. What a place!!! Food, services, courtesyRooms: 3/5

Such a beautiful place to stay. Everything from the staff, to the quality of their rooms is top tier. It's unfortunate that I couldn't stay there for long enough to view the entire place, but the little I did see was spectacular.

Beautifully clean resort,lovely staff a pleasurable experience..highly recommended for a quick stay close to Jozi,lots to do..,lovely swimming pool and golf course. Only 1 suggestion...move the Pool table to a spot where adults can enjoy it on a rainy day..sad to see children underage and inexperienced damaging the pool table

The service was honestly poor and the food was a definite 0. I ordered the seafood platter and what I got served was horrendous. The food tastes like nothing I ordered, they over fried the seafood and looked/tasted like vetkoek. I requested to speak to the manager/chef to pay a complain but I was told that they have knocked off. They serve food yet they don't have wipes and you constantly have to ask for things like cutlery, side plate etc.

We had a great stay at the resort. The activities were great and the rooms were clean and big. The buffet breakfast was also first class.Rooms: 3/5
