Quills Restaurant & Bar - Intercontinental Hotel

Delicious! The food was simple yet fantastic. We went for olives and hummus to start..all very tasty. For mains I had the rib eye and he had the "meat lover" fajitas. The food was just so spot on. The rib eye was cooked to perfection and had such a beautiful flavour. All 3 meats in the fajitas were cooked in their own flavourful way. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was beautiful. The espresso martini was bang on. Very reasonable prices for wonderful food.

Very very average but prices are not. Pasta was so obviously microwaved as it largely stuck together but gets 3 stars as taste wasn't bad. Penne nduja was actually Cumberland sausage and not the Italian sausage as description would suggest. Fajitas at £18 a joke as tiny portions and tiny wraps. Had to ask for more cheese to put in them. When looking at photos the plates are side plates for size reference

After 3+ visits to the venue, I am in every right to say the service is excellent and the food is delicious. The cheeseburger is top notch and the steak fajita is, well, sizzling! And no, they're not paying me to write to this review, but a discount next time will be welcome! ; UPDATE from June 2023 - food is still good, but they've upped their prices, and the fajita is now over £18 which is steep, all things considered. Other main courses are around £15, except for the steak around £23, so what used to be £10-20 per person is now easily £20-30 pp. Other than that, it's a pleasant venue with decent food. Kid-friendliness: They have a kids'menu, but it is quite restricted, e.g. no actual beef burger option for little beef eaters. Otherwise, very accomodating.

The breakfast menu is great. So many options and fairly priced. Food was served quickly and was very tasty. I wasn't as impressed with the dinner options/food. Service was great and very accommodating for toddlers and kids.Food: 4/5

This was my second time visiting. The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious. The chocolate Fudge Cake was our absolute favourite. Everyone was very impressed. I would definitely recommend a visit. I will surely come back. Dietary restrictions: I have a dairy and egg intolerance, and I felt very at ease ordering. There were good options even though I have restrictions in my diet.

Can't rate this highly enough for a quick drop in and eat. Excellent attentive service, great food in ample portions. Vibey and fun. All you guys need is beer on tap and it's a total winner.Food: 5/5

Stumbled upon Quills when visiting the area. Food was incredible, the best mixed grill my husband has ever had. Every bite was perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area. I'm just gutted that we live so far away from it to visit again soon although my waistline will thank me lolFood: 5/5

This was the first time I've visited The Quills and it was lovely. The decor is nice and modern with well kept furnishings. The menu is not extensive but still has a very good selection. We ate three courses and all three courses were lovely. The honey pork was well flavoured. The staff were helpful and friendly with freely giving their advice on dishes. The bonus to this restaurant is that it accepts a taste card which makes it even better value for money.
