Shell Tulbagh

Will not be coming back here again. Petrol attendant shouts at me in Afrikaans, I say I do not speak the language and he carries on. I presume he didn't want me to park in front of the shop but I dont respond to rudeness or shouting. Very unprofessional. If the owner or manager would like to go and watch the video footage when he comes into the shop after me please do. Sunday 01/03/20 between 8h30 and 9am. I would fire my staff if one of them spoke to a client or customer like that.

Yesterday, we went to this garage to put petrol in our car, when driving off, our car's electronic petrol system showed no change. I went back immediately and spoke to the petrol attendant and the manager. The manager mentioned that they had a similar complaint the week before by another customer, which raised my suspicion. I was not happy with how they handled the situation and I feel that I was scammed. Be alert when using this garage!

Pathetic. Closes early, bearing in mind its the only garage in town. And while lights are still on and workers still there they refuse to help a last client. We are trying to get home at the next town, now we have to pray we don't go stand aside the road without diesel.

Update your opening times! It's not a 24 hour petrol station. My previous post 21 months ago. Thanks for letting me know and updating your information. Will change my rating to 5 star - and please keep your info up to date.

A Service station with no service. On Sunday night the 24th of January 2016 my husband and I were traveling from Riebeeck Kasteel to Ceres. As the reserve light of the Hi Lux was burning for some distance we took the detour to Tulbagh to fill up. At Tulbagh Shell, the only service station in Tulbagh, we were told they can't help us as it was 1 minute pass 10pm and they close at 10pm. The C C Cameras later showed that we were at the pump before 10pm. We were stuck and had to sleep over. The Tulbagh Hotel was so embarrassed for the sake of Shell Tulbagh that they offered us a room at a very special rate. Even without clean clothes or toothbrushes it was still a wonderful experience at this top class Hotel. The next morning my husband complaint at the service station to the owner. He later offered us via an SMS R 300 for our inconvenience which we declined.

Arrived at 22:01, they said they were closed. No petrol. Hope I have enough for tomorrow.

The store has a large selection of goods and is open until late.

Great place to fuel up and get some refreshments for the road and friendly service.
