Don’t waste your time and money going to this doctor. I had a consultation with this doctor in under 2 minutes in the door frame he didn’t have wait for me to have a seat or anything. He can’t even speak English or understand it. He looked at me and said there was nothing wrong with me but recommended that I go on a drip which would’ve costed me R1000 even though he said there’s nothing wrong with me.

On Wednesday 28 December 2022. I visited this doctors rooms out 9f desperation since he was the only Dr available my gynae was on leave and i am still new in Cape Town. I Was Pregnant and started bleeding. Long story short I was told that consultation was R500 which I paid, when I then entered the surgery I was then told that a scan was R650 and that I should pay the difference which I agreed on, I was willing to pay any amount of money just to make sure my baby was okay. I explained to him that I suffered pain as well. He did the scan and said "The baby is in the womb I do not see any miscarriage" he then confirmed that I was 6 weeks pregnant which confused me because my first gynae Visit I was 6 weeks. Anyway he then tested my urine came out and said "you Have nothing to worry about you'll be fine " I asked about the bleeding and he said that it's normal to spot the 1st 3 months. When I got home the pain became severe I then called his rooms to no avail. On 29th December 2022 I went driving around for another opinion and finally just took myself to Netcare emergency unit where I was attended to and discovered that I did indeed suffer a miscarriage!!! And I was INFACT 9 WEEKS PREGNANT!!!! THIS DOCTOR IS A LIAR AND A FRAUD

Worst Dr Ever if he happens to be one The Health department needs to investigate this con artist It's obvious that he's giving people cheap generic medication and charge them high amounts No wonder why he's the only one opened Sundays Save yourself and your loved ones' health do go there

I would give six stars to Hawu Medical Practice and recommend it to anybody. Dr Hawu is open and very professional.

I met this charming, welcoming, energetic and enthusiastic Doctor, Dr. M Hawu.He took a very good concise history of my problem. He talked me through his thorough examination. He told me what he suspects, meaning a differential diagnosis. He suggested we do urine dipstick and some blood tests to get to the final diagnosis. Through these tests he found the final diagnosis and he treated me. I had already developed confidence in him though it was the first time. Now I can publicly state that I am very well and will faithfully recommend all those I know to see him. Fantastic work Dr and your reception team. Keep the good work Dr.M Hawu. In the past I used to enjoy going to Dr.Hawu but recently his service got so pathetic. All he wants to do is bill you although you do have medical aid. I will never ever go back to his practice. I will drive out of my area to go see a doctor who does not have a problem assisting patients. He will assist cash payment patients before you even if the walked in after you.

I have been to 4 doctors for a medical problem. I have been told several non-working diagnoses apparently they only based on clinical examination. The pain persisted for some time. After the fourth doctor I was told about Dr. Hawu in Brooklyn as one Dr. with passion in what he does. I met this tall man who gave me a welcoming smile and ushered me into his consulting room. The clean character of his rooms depict his warm character. After concise, goal directed history taking, bedside manners, bedside tests, revealed preliminary diagnoses with clear communication of my problem made me feel to be at the right place. After blood tests and an ultrasound he revealed my problem for the first time. My problem got sorted out thereafter. I recommend my doctor to all friends and family.

I will never go back to this practice I went with my child his temperature was too high and passing stools,apparently he messed up his nappy and the doctor could not allow me to change my babies diaper even after insisting if they can give me a place so I can change the child instead he told me he is worried if I change my child there the bug he had could spread.I had to leave travel all the way with a spoiled diaper. I believe every practice should have a place for babies to be changed nappies,even shopping malls now has.So pathetic

I was really disappointed in the treatment I got. I just said I HV a sore throat n coughing n the Dr was standing Infront of me n said come with me you need the whole covid 19 prescription n he walked out n wrote the paper n gave me. Didnt even ask how I'm feeling what other symptoms I have ddnt even notice I'm 7 pregnant because he just stood Infront of me if 2 seconds n decided that I need a prescription. I could not even get the things on that Bcz they not safe for a pregnant woman. So disappointed.

The worst GP experience I've ever had. I was only there because it was in my area of residence at the time and I had a stomach bug. He was more interested in showing off his practice. He got really upset with me because I did not bring enough cash to purchase medication from him. I was supposed to know that he dispenses medication?! I ALWAYS get a script from a GP if I needed and would go to a pharmacy to purchase the meds. He then accused me of only coming for the sick note. I would never return and would definitely NOT recommend him to friends or family.
