The service was very very slow ended up ordering my coffee next door, food was cold, our waiter forgot cutlery, forgot to take our drinks order, did not manage the sitting well. It was such a disaster, not a good experience at all. The Manger did not come to even check on us, like seriously what nonsense. If you are going to have 20 people on one table, please assign two waiters immediately otherwise you will have unhappy customers.
Yhoooo! What a big disappointment! I was at Spur in Mthata the day before and it was sooo completely different! 1 would think that being in Vincent Mall you'd get the best of everything but not! Had to return food, atmosphere was bad and some of the staff had poor attitude! Yhoo such a far cry to what it once was! Won't even mention the happy birthday song and dance, 0 effort and 0 interest from the staff.
When you walk into Silver eagle. You are greeted with the warm interior of a place which takes you back a few years as a kid. Who remembers the Milkshakes and kiddies meals now for your kids? The menu consists mostly of meats. I would like to see more viriety of pizza's and desserts. We are thinking of having our little one's party here as this has always been a great place for kids to enjoy. There is a play area up stairs so that kids leave the adults to chat. Alcohol and Cooldrinks are on offer.
Love this Spur. Not the first time we've been. Never dissapointed. We has a crumbed mushroom and calamari starter and for mains we had the famous chedamelt burger and hot nachos. It was delicious. The service is great. A bit pricey but worth it for never failing good quality food and excellent service.
Food is the same as always, akhont'intsha wethu. Service is great, even got some enlightenment about the Spur card. I didn't like that soccer was the only thing being broadcasted on ALL the screens ndingesekho bored guys!Food: 4/5
Not the best Spur. Quality of food below average. But still a good spot for an airport dinner.
I called to place an order and I was told it will be ready in 20-25 mins. I get to spur 40 mins after the order has been placed and still no food. There's noone at the front desk to assist. Eventually I spoke to two employees who clearly had no idea what's going on and provided zero help. I eventually got my order after 70 minutes.
Good food, decent portion sizes. Restaurant was very busy and the Manageress helped us. Not something you see too often these days. Spur has always been a bit "loud" for me but that's personal preference.
It's a pity that I forgot the waiters name, but I'm definitely coming back because of his service.Food: 5/5
The steak and prawn dish that I ordered was mostly inedible ligament and less meat. When I complained, I just got a "Sorry" and left hungry
