This is a stunningly beautiful place. I just love it. We often take walks from the parking area to the light house and it is just amazing. We started doing this during covid and we now do it on a regular bases.
Nice view. There is a small parking spot near it. Then a very short walk. I am not sure whether the lighthouse itself was ever open to public, but now its closed. There is a small trail along the beach which is beautiful
Beautiful spot on the way to the peninsula. Tranquil and unspoilt.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful view of the lighthouse and sea Certain planks are lose on the boardwalk so beware of that while walking. Pet friendly There are sitting areas to just observe the water and lighthouse.
A stunning place. The lighthouse is beautiful, and makes for some great photos. The rocky beach, local flora, and wooden walkway are picturesque. Safe to walk around, and an all-round beautiful place. Keep an eye out for hidden painted pebbles on the beach.
Wonderful drive from Cape Point to Kommetjie. We made it to the lighthouse as the sun was setting, so we were able to enjoy the amazing sunset, watching the ship travelling across the sea from the harbour. We also got to the see the lighthouse go on and start it's work for the night. Unfortunately we missed the tours, as they have those during the day in the week. But still a great visit.
Was so much fun. There was an amazing path to the lighthouse and the place was quite clean too. Amazing beach view and the lighthouse was really cool. You get up close so you can see it nicely.
Most beautiful place, so serene, views are mind blowingly stunning. Bring a camera. Lovely walk.
I did not get to go into the light house however I did get to walk along the boardwalk at sunset which was very nice. It was fairly busy with lots of people walking their dogs. There was no issue with any of the dogs and the walkway was relatively clean but I digress. The light house is in great condition on the outside and has some parking if you are going to visit. Its really cheap to go inside and I believe the views would be worth it. A definite must do in Cape Town
Beautiful area to walk. Safe. The lighthouse makes for some great photographic opportunities. As do the rocks and the wild flowers depending on the time of year.
