Stellenbosch Superspar

I am downgrading my rating to 2 stars. The meat section is pretty good, and the service is excellent no long wait in queues. Other than that, it's as if someone recently had the epiphany of increasing the price of almost everything by 20-30% in a few days and blaming the economy for it. It is simply greed, and it is now worth my while to drive a little bit further to Checkers. You are now nothing more than a filling station forecourt: overpriced but conveniently located.

Convenient and well run. All the basics are available and the store is clean. I arrived say this store just as they started to perform a stock take and they were actually closed for this process, but the owners let me in to get a milk and to leave without paying till the following day, due to the inconvenience of the situation. I have never felt so impressed by such friendly and helpful staff. This is truely an amazing store, made even more amazing by the attitude of the staff and owners.

I bought chicken and when i opened the pack it was off. I freezed it, thinking i will return it later. After 3 weeks i took it back and the owner refused to refund my.... wait for it.... R36 his explanation that he gave via an employee was that i waited too long, really. ??The employee explained to him that i am an regular customer and that he knows me, but no, he still felt to keep my R36. Really??? Is this how you treat your customers, i am shocked and dissapointed. You can clearly see on the sticker that i bought the meat at Stellenberg Spar and what the expiry date was.

Simple and easy shopping

Perfectly run, smaller type of grocery store. Has all the basics you need and more! Friendly staff. Highly recommended for quick shopping trips

The only hot meal to be had was a pie. I was looking for macaroni cheese, but there was none available. There were lots of cold salads prepared when we are in the midst of a cold snap.
