Struisbaai Caravan Park

Typical municipal campsite. No shade. Gets very windy. The beach is a blue flag beach so it is amazing to swim in. There are no braai facilities, so bring your own. Bathrooms are ok. You need your own toilet paper. You need the caravan plug to plug in the electric box.

I felt very threatened camping here. The previous night a bicycle was stolen of the back of a bakkie by locals. Locals walk through the campsite day and night... no security. You have to lock everything away! No control as a man from outside with a white bakkie saw the mens bathroom was open and quickly took a shower then joints his 2 ladies again. A lot of tourism is lost for Struisbaai.

Love tent camping with my family at the park. Oh and the beach is only a few meters away. Love the sound of the waves while you sleeping, awesome.

Conveniently located, bathrooms are in need of a an update..urgently! Security controls at main gate but not at access points from the beach, found a couple of wanderers in the campsite.

Place has great potential but unsupervised and zero security. No access control or fence to speak of. Lots of vagrants begging for food or scouting for easy pickings. Number of men broke into the woman's ablution to stet up camp for the night. Widow ripped out of the wall in the men's ablution that night. People arrived during the night and left early morning to avoid paying. Old scrap equipment just dumped in a heap and left there for years. Moles occupy most of the stands. Staff's general response is "management does not listen to us" or "I am not on duty now"

5 years later and still no improvements on the campsite. Spoke to management but they have answers for every question. Just a beautiful beach. You make enough monies.

Great place. Grass plits. Lits of taps and PowerPoints around. Lots of toilets, showers, washing basins, dish washing basins, very safe, basically on the beach, great swimming beach, great fishing all around the coast.

Ablusions old but clean. 5 star view over the ocean. No security. We stayed for one night. We were only 2 campervans in the park. No problems

No security, no gate control. Men climbing threw windows into womens toilets at night. Campers arrive after hours and leave early morning without paying, because there is no access control. We don't feel save at all.
