Swartruggens Dam Caravan Park

What a great dam, so beautiful and clean. Such a great camping site, we decided to come back next week again. Dawie and the team are awesome!!! They also have a awesome bar Restrooms: Clean Picnic area: Stunning grass picnic areas

Beautiful place, fishing was a bit slow though

One of our favourite places to go camp, fish or just a quick getaway!! You can unfortunately not swim there due to crocodiles that may be in the water. Other than that, it is very peaceful and the view is just beautiful! Also very clean and bathrooms have warm water. There is also a bar on the premises for incase you need something.

Totaly loved it you wont find this kind of peace anywhere else

Beautifully maintained camping areas, each with own braai. Fishing and boating on the dam is allowed, fishing is catch and release. Ablution blocks are old, but clean and tidy. There is a really nice pub on site, super friendly staff. Make sure you have your insect repellant to hand. Swartruggens town is only five minutes away, with all basic shops and amenities. Well worth a visit to chill, relax and watch the sun go down with a beer or two.
