Great atmosphere. Cleaner air out in the bush. Their spa people were incredible and understood the requirements before starting. The change rooms at the spa were quite small though and the robes should be reviewed.  The reception experience was not great. Did not feel the welcome one expects from a 4 star and it seemed the hosts were impatient with their guests.  The game drive is one for the history books. KK, the guide was able to navigate us to seeing three of the big five and has impeccable knowledge of the environment he works in  Food & drinks: They have some of the best cuisine in the are and cater for most diets. I was pleasantly surprised with their seafood offering The restuarant was a great experience. Had all three meals and I&#39;d go back just for the food.  Noteworthy details: The Game drive is long but worth the time. Had a stop in betweenrestuarant with facilities and kiosk for memorabilia and was able to mingle with people from various countries and shared a drink.

Brilliant!! The friendliest service in the country. We're so impressed with how helpful and friendly all staff were.  The location is wonderful and the facilities in good condition. My toddlers loved the swimming pool slide and jumping castle. The food at the buffet was fantastic! Will be back!

Reception was extremely busy. No popcorn or drinks were offered as they were finished. Staff had no idea how to book for sun city, except for the transport. Rooms need to be more well lit although were definitely nice and clean. Swimming pool towels were unavailable and we had to ask twice times for them to bring some. The pool in the entrance needs was murky but pool by entertainment was clean. Entertainment was excellent. Game ride disappointing but all due to the rain they had been experiencing, the animals were not all visible. Saw more animals near the lodges than in the park, but had a great experience with the lions in the park. One guide was hard to understand and not enough explained to us.  Felt the guides need to explain the different species of birds in the park on the drive. Restaurant staff were friendly and super attentive. Reception needs to improve on their service.

A lovely spot. Service at meals was a bit slow, however all other service was good. Food is tasty, and plenty of it. Game drives were great and the rangers were informative. Great place for kids, the pool kept them busy for hoursRooms: 5/5

What a great hotel in a magical location. Went on 4 safaris over 3 days and saw the big 5 animals plus many more besides. The guides were excellent, getting you up close whenever possible. Room was large with an open balcony. Bathroom layout could be improved but really nothing to worry about. Two lovely swimming pools in the grounds with adequate seating and other activities including tennis and mini-golf. Food was top drawer with lots of choice and generally good service.

Best place for family getaway.... We had a nice Easter Saturday breakfast, where 3 Lions came out hunting chasing Black-wildebeests... Nice scenery, my kids were so excited to see Lions in a jungle so close to them/the restaurant.Rooms: 5/5

Restaurant is great with a wide variety of foods on offer during each meal. Safari was great and a lot of activities on the lodge. Showers were poor however, water was lukewarm and not much pressure.

Average place. We paid about 5500 ZAR for one night.  The complex is sprawling and can be quite a walk from the car park. Had a first floor executive king room without any lift. Rooms are dated. Dim lighting. Comfortable beds. Shower wasn't great. Buffet dinner and breakfast had a decent selection. Hide viewing was fun though we didn't see anything there. Two rhinos came to the fence in the evening though.  The last game drive leaves at about 3:30pm. The morning drive is at 8am. Each lasts about 3 hours. The timings aren't mentioned on the website.  Old kids play area with slide etc. Pool is not heated so too cold to use. Service was variable. Reception staff not that helpful. Can buy park permits from reception for use at Kwa Maritane gate

Sadly didn't stay here, however had 3 consecutive suppers here and each visit was a complete and utterly pleasure! Staff well trained to the European way of interacting and serving. The food beyond delicious and wide selection of options for all to enjoy. The outside balcony area is a great spot to see passers by of the Natural World! One evening there were 4 rhinos grazing the grass nearby the pond on the edge of the balcony....was magical to hear them pull at the grass, while we are silently sipping wine and enjoying a delicious meal at the end of the day.  I would love to stay at this lodge the next time I come to the Pilansberg!  Food & drinks: Varied and delicious food buffet! Above expected standards!
