Tshukudu Bush Lodge

A brilliant experience. My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary here. Andre, Humbu and the team was just amazing. The game drives were fantastic. Andre's arrangements for a romantic dinner for us was both a surprise and flawlessly executed. The food is exceptional. Highly recommend a stay here!Rooms: 5/5

Jaan Rick really made this trip one of a lifetime. From the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out, he made us feel welcome, looked after and safe. It’s rare that you meet someone with such a passion who is so welcoming and wants to share his knowledge with the rest of us. He is a true compliment to the lodge and park and really is someone special. The knowledge and passion that he shows in everyday life is deserving of more than just a 5* review. If you’re going to Pilanesberg National Park on safari, I would recommend you stay nowhere else than in the Tshukudu Bush Lodge and with Jaan Rick. This is a shout out to you JR, what a man and what a hero!

THIS IS NOT 5*, not even a 4*. completely underwhelming bush experience. the toilet had a leak, bed bugs. There is 0 control and etiquette at sightings. for the same price, you are better off in madikwe, kruger, phinda etc. POOR!

Excellent stay at the lodge. I’m from Argentina and I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a true safari experience.

Words cannot describe how amazing this lodge is! The staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is stellar, the rooms are luxury at it's best and the game drives are exciting and so informative! The experience as a whole was just sublime and I would recommend to anyone that they have not experience luxury in the bush until they have spent a weekend at Tshukudu. You are made a part of the family and you truly do not want to leave!

Outstanding stay. So the staff were friendly and welcoming in this small, comfortable lodge. The food was very good and the wine flowed freely at dinner which could have been dangerous given the 4.30 wake up but the quality was excellent so no issues there. Safari drives in the park were perfectly executed by our expert guide, Humbu. Thoroughly recommend

Worth climbing every step of the hill to the top. Beautiful rooms. Delicious food and amazing staff. Best game drives we have ever experienced in the park. Quiet surroundings overlooking nature. Heated pool on the deck. A must visit. No kids under 12 allowed

This lodge is extraordinary, the only one settled in Pilanesberg park. Lodge has only a few exclusive rooms - each is an authentic cottage. They are spacious, cozy and clean. They come with great views over the park, a terrace and suites even with a small heated outdoor pool. Breakfast, afternoon tea and delicious dinners are freshly prepared with pride by the chef. You dine beside a fireplace to keep you warm in colder nights. A small bar completes the little restaurant place overlooking parts of the park. The game drives are extensive rides to visit the wide range of African animals - we counted more than 20 of its kind. Driver Mari knows them all, passionately loves to inspire her guests. She knows where the animals show their best sides, their youngsters and their paths to food and water places. All in all, an excellent place to spend your five-star but grounded lodge adventure.

Incredible experience! I was lucky enough to come here on a recent holiday from New Zealand. Jann-Rick was our guide, and we were blown away by his knowledge and passion for the wildlife. 100% recommend, and hope to return again.

Where does one even start to explain Tshukudu lodge is an absolutely amazing lodge Starting from the moment you check in till the time you have to leave The staff are all outstanding, always friendly, hands on and making sure your stay is welcomed A big thanks to Andre GM for always making sure everything ok and in order To our guide Humbu what an amazing time we had out on a safari drive Outstanding knowledge of the bush starting from fauna and flora, birds and all the animals We had an incredible morning drive seeing lions on a kill, the one and only spotted hyena, 3 black rhino's, cheetah and loads more I am a current guide myself and funny enough freelanced at Tshukudu for a number of months in 2020, it was always a dream to come here one day as a guest with my partner and today we managed to do that From the amazing view at the open bar area over seeing the open plains and dam, to the topography of the mountains. The rooms are outstanding and meeting every check box one would want, from open plan lounge overseeing the veranda to a heated plunge pool A freshening outdoor shower on a hot day and a open view bath tub to close off the day seeing all the stars while enjoying a wine in the tub. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone wishing to getaway and switch off You will definitely not be disappointed at all, Roughly 2hrs from Johannesburg Big 5 Thanks again to all the staff for making my stay such a memorable one to treasure I will definitely be back again soon
