Looking for an excellent and down to earth surgeon ?....look no further. Over the past 8 years I was treated by Dr G. Teuwen for 5 intricate operations that if I were been identified earlier , I would have been leading a life with lesser painkillers. Lyrica an all dreaded medication made me srart losing my memory .,.a vital aspect of a science teacher which I could ill afford. I could neither participate in sports nor even watching my favourite movies due to excruciating pain. Unlike many a specialist who threw the old line : "WITH OLD AGE THESE THINGS HAPPEN !!!! Dr Teuwen gave me hope. When in doubt he does not hesitate to consult doctors in their fields The doctor has a unique, simplitistic way of analysing your condition. It is not uncommon to see patients sitting in his waiting who are old, as in very old. His explanation is clear and accurate, as to the procedure that requires to be carried out and does not drain your x-ray and scan allocations. He has colour photocopies and ask you to best describe your condition !!! Here's wishing his patience all the best.
Dr Teuwen is an excellent doctor, explained exactly what the operation entails and once again he proved to be a considerate dr to show me what he had done and did not leave me in the dark. He saw me on a daily basis in the hospital and very friendly and caring and have an excellent bedside manner. Thanks Doctor for everything you've done for me and a big thank you to Sharon as well.

Horrible experience. His bedside manner is disgusting especially when he knows hes wrong. Didn't know what to expect from the op, after or aftercare. This Neurosurgeon is excellent at what he does however he leaves you after that. NO details, aftercare details PLUS how we move forward.
As my previous Nerosurgeon had retired I was looking for a neuro to help me. Dr. teuwen was so helpful kind and most importantly sat and talk to my husband and myself as if we were people who would understand all he needed to explain to us. The operation was done and was so successful that I am walking again. I am also pleased to note that he would not have just wipped me into having this operation unless it was so important to my future walking.
