Great experience start to finish. Had my car checked in, diagnosed and repaired without having been present once. Rose was excellent in keeping me updated via Whatsapp and the repair was done within 5 days. The surprise? A full clean inside and out. Definitely recommend!Service: Transmission repair
The staff are not bad, but the workshop management is atrocious. First they provided me with the complete wrong part and cost me a entire day of work and workshop space. Then they took my car for 4 days and messed me around about returning it. The manager has not once been around when I’ve gone through and I phoned just get turned off at the end of the day if they can’t get things right. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and this is a really sub standard level of service from a gearbox and diff specialist. I am looking at trying to recover damages as this has been nothing but a shocking ordeal for me as a customer. Ownership is also nowhere to be seen.
They have unapologetically simply "lost" my gearbox to strong arm me into spending 15k on an exchange after we had agreed on 10k for a repair. Very disappointed with this business, would recommend people to tread very carefully while dealing with them. They also get Google to remove the bad reviews which is more dishonest, you gave the bad service, accept the bad review. Rather focus on getting rid of the bad service and the bad reviews will get rid of themselves. Update: There are a few ways to remove a review and my original review seems to have disappeared. Admittedly yes, I was derailed by the very unexpected death of my father and covid but I was in contact with you the whole time and clearing out your workshop was only communicated to me when they couldn't find it when I asked for the return of the gearbox because I wouldn't accept the sudden 30% increase in the repair costs, just to be clear.
My car was picked up at my house for free. Very friendly guys, i was kept up to date. My car was very problematic and they worked and made sure it was working. also kept to their warranty on the fix and actually took the car back when it gave issues. Thieves, the charged me for full recon, 2nd, 4th and 5th gear but did not even change the seals, and I specifically asked for the seals to be changed, what a waste of money. They don't even clean the parts when reassembling, they just spray silver spray paint over everything even dust covers and seals. The old oil sludge is still under the paint. Gearbox and Diff Doctor Randburg is very good. They are very helpful and does evering in there power to assist there customers. Best service ever.
Review update - Among best service you'll find. They kept my car for a while but made sure that they have me the car back in great condition. My vehicle was a 1996 Mercedes Benz SL. They even went out of their way to repair certain paintwork panels that might have been scratched in the process. Costa personally made sure that that my vehicle was repaired professionally and in pristine condition on return. Also, very helpful and easy feedback on their WhatsApp line, on demand, whenever I had a query. Very quick and convenient responses. You will not go wrong here.
Our Kia Cerrato had a gearbox issue and Gearbox and Diff came recommended online and via Kia. We booked our car in and were kept up to date with all the work that would be required to be done. Very friendly and infornative, this was an easy and enjoyable process for us. Our car was fixed ahead of the indicated time. I will be using them again for any gearbox and electrical related issues.
