Thandile Country Lodge

The owner is friendly and helpful, the accommodation is comfortable and cozy. There are braai facilities, and a communal kitchen available. You can go horse riding, the horses, zebra and giraffe roam the property, so you can have a fair amount of game viewing whilst nibbling on breakfast in the stoep area outside your room. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to get away. Lots of friendly dogs here too, and a cat or 2

we had a lovely time at Thandile Country Lodge. The hosts and staff members made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed the warm, comforting fire, made in the fireplace of the guesthouse. Our room was clean and inviting. We took a stroll along a few of the footpaths and were accompanied by the farmers dogs, which made the walk very entertaining. There was a surprise around every corner. If not a dog, then a potbellied pig, a gaggle of geese and horses seemingly everywhere. I would recommend Thandile Cottage Lodge to anyone who needs a break from city life. A place to relax, take in the scenery and enjoy excellent food.

We went to Thandile Country Lodge in October 2022 with our family. We were 11 people in total. The owners treated us like family and the hospitality was amazing! The atmosphere was very quiet and relaxed. This was our second time there, and we will definitely go again!

I’m so disappointed, the place is untidy doesn’t look like what they are selling in pictures. The same entrance we used the were toys everywhere. I had to leave same night Because I couldn’t sleep there.! My money gone Rooms: 1/5

We had a wonderful stay at Thandile Country Lodge, 2 adults and 2 kids in the small family room which was very clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and we were very happy with the peace and quiet of Thandile Country Lodge. This is definitely the place to stay if you want to get some peace and quiet and enjoy nature.Rooms: 5/5

Beautiful location with views and definite place to stay. Quite and peaceful especially that there is no tv and that gives one enough quality time to spend together. The main house its so great and comfortable inside. Very friendly owners. Beautiful hiking trail, we encountered giraffes and zebras. Could be cleaner though, especially the veranda for a nice relaxation. Although a farm lodge, one would still expect maintenance on external structures for a better upkeeping. The animals are so friendly and condolences with your dog. I suggest you create encounter for guest to wash to horses, that could be nice since they work so hard

A must for animal lovers, lots of friendly dogs and cats, horses, a naughty zebra, two beautiful pigs, It's like visiting family, owners are just lovely people, the old farmhouse is 165 years old, with lots of character. There's, lots of books to read, long walks over the river up the mountain with the most beautiful rocks and stones. A damn transformed into a love swimming pool.

It was a nice stay away place I've ever went.love the view though no swimming pool. The horse riding was very nice the kids enjoyed the dogs and love the view the mountains and zebra,pigs and goose. I will advice ppl to come for sure.Rooms: 5/5

This guesthouse is a hidden gem, a short drive outside Bela Bela. The owners are incredibly friendly and treat you as if you're family. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the large house with its tall ceilings and thick walls transports you back in time, to period when life was far less complicated than it is today. Allowing guest to truly unwind and relax. There is an on-site restaurant with a balcony that overlooks two ponds, where zebras and horses casually roam by and drink to their heart's content. Definitely a place I will be visiting again with my family!
