The Anchorage Beach Restaurant & Bar

A lovely venue right on the Witsand beachfront with an amazing view of the sea. The vibe is casual, the servers are friendly and the food comes quickly. The waffles were a bit overloaded with syrup, but otherwise nice. Will certainly be visiting again.Food: 4/5

First I just want to say you need better kitchen staff who actually take pride in what they are cooking and how they present the food!!. One eats with there eyes first.. the milkshakes were tasteless honestly and messy... I had ordered the calamari and for what the price was it was not worth it and your chips were cold ..My kids had order the pizzas one Bbq and the other was mince and from going to a actually chef school and having experience one does not put runny mince like that because it makes the base soggy!. My mothers chicken was dry and not restaurant quality and the sauce was not made from scratch... Than the desserts were awful we had ordered a waffle and it come drowned in honey syrup which was awful .. than my other daughter order a brownie and it was over heated and the chocolate was burnt! You over hearted the malva pudding leaving it dry because the syrup want not there And I had a dom pedro and it just tasted like milk and the presentation was shocking So to be honest your prices for what you get is not worth it and you need better staff and kitchen staff ..

The best oyesters I have ever had! Have never tried anything like it in Europe. Extremely good price for the top quality! This place is a must if you like oysters.

Great food and great atmosphere. The view of the ocean is stunning. The service was great and the waiters and owners are very friendly. Anchorage makes the best calamari that I have ever eaten and they do not hold back with their portions! I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful wild Oysters gathered this morning..Heaven, followed by fresh Cob, washed down with well priced local Excelsior sauvignon blanc..... with really good friends and right next to the crashing waves at Witsand!
