Big Blu

There is a dish: 5 small prawns for R100. We ordered one. Some of the prawns meat taste like mash, some are empty. I cannot believe this can be served as a dish!!! When we talked to the manager, he offered a replacement. We waited for another 45 minutes for 5 new prawns. Taste old and burnt this time. Don't go to this restaurant. Oh, the environment is dirty too. Such a good location, pity.

We ordered dompedros which by my knowledge contains alcohol with the price of R40.00 each. They didn't say that any alcohol added will be of extra cost. They made us pay R128.00 for the drinks. My boyfriend gave R150.00 and the waiter behind the bar took everything and gave no change. He was also very unfriendly.

Sat at the smoking area inside. Very noisy. Tables not clean. Communication between the waiter and kitchen not the best. Food was good though and the cocktails or whaletales as they call it were excellent! Got some free Jagermeisters shots for the mix-up

Big Blue is arguably the restaurant with the best views in the Mosselbay Waterfront Point area. From the deck area you have views of the iconic tidal pools Die Poort Tidal Pool, the Mosselbay Zipline, the Cape St Blaize lighthouse and of course the magnificent Indian Ocean. The restaurant is very relaxed with indoor and outdoor seating areas, and is decorated in a laid-back beach style - they even have swings at the bar for you to relaxed on. It is important to note, that even if you sit inside, you will still have a great view as they have big windows facing the ocean. We visited for lunch and it was very nice, but the highlight for me was the cocktails which added to the "beach vibe". The staff was also friendly and they followed the Covid regulations that were in place at the time.

Was lovely going there. The view from Big Blue is beautiful. Staff very friendly and the food was very nice. Recommend people to go there.

Took 1hr 30mins to serve us our food! Surly staff showed little interest in us. More of a place for drinks I’d suggest. The views are excellent but little else to commend it. Looking tired.

We waited more than half an hour for 4 cuppachino coffees. The waiter was missing in action after he begrudgingly took our order. The restaurant was dirty.Food: 1/5

What a lovely place. The swings inside is such a different experience than the usual table and chair , the staff is so friendly and accommodating. The views are just amazing and you will probably see the most beautiful waves in your life while sitting on deck here.

Grubby venue, miserable and slow service. Potentially one of the most awesome views from this place but we will never go back there.Food: 1/5

I've never rated anything before, but for this piece of heaven I just have to! It is an experience like you've never had. If you like the beach, you will love love love this atmosphere.
