The most incredible place to drink fantastic wine and watch the sunset. Truly a breathtaking view. Staff was so friendly and nice. Didn’t have time to eat here but the restaurant has incredible views as well and food looked delicious!Service: 5/5
Ate at restaurant. Positives: Great view. Venison was really good. Negatives: Egg shells left in my quail egg, coffee tasted like 5 shots of espresso and undrinkable. Didnt do anything for birthday even though they were made aware beforehand
Beautiful location with gorgeous vistas and frescoes. They have a kiddies menu with a few games and activities to occupy prep school kids. Lovely ambience and great for sundowners. Food was good. Best vanilla cheesecake I have had.Service: 4/5
The views are great, but that's where the appeal of this place ends. The food was bland, stodgy and not particularly fresh. A particular low point was my dessert which was a mess of coconut ice cream curdling in pineapple juice. The service was really pretty bad, from a rude welcome to continually needing to chase the waiters. Oh, and it's overpriced too!
I have always loved visiting La Petit Ferme since the late 80's. Grew up in the valley. Frequented the establishment many times in the 90's and return to dine, and for the fantastic views, every time I visit the Cape. Service and food was always great and will always return.
Stopped for lunch, sat on verandah to enjoy magnificent view. We all had the two course lunch from interesting menu..vegetarian & gluten-free options goats cheese panacotta, squid & smoked trout, then ruby grapefruit sorbet main courses were courgette & lentil fritters, line-fish kingklip, venison & troat... ovely wine list too.
Not so good. We have been here 6 years ago. At that time we were surprised by the food that was served. However, today the food was disappointing. Flavours and combinations were not that special. Compared to other restaurants in the region it is not a recommendation to chose for La petit ferme.Service: 3/5
One of the most beautiful venues in Franschhoek. Make sure you arrive before sunset to experience the most stunning views. The food is great. Their lamb has set a new standard for me and is by far the best lamb I've had in my life. Definitely worth a try! We had it together with their reserve Cab Sav, which is a dream as well. All in all, 11/10, you can't go wrong here and it's perhaps one of the best eating spots in Franschhoek.
For me, this is one of the best places to dine in Franschoek. We were here for lunch and all the courses were yum, presentation was terrific, service was quick and the views just enhanced the overall experience. Would definitely recommend everyone.Service: 4/5
Very disappointing that a restaurant that charges at least R500/person can’t seem to afford to add in any wheelchair accessible ways in. My parents were very excited to eat here as they used to come here many years ago but when we arrived we were met with 2 flights of stairs and no wheelchair parking. It’s 2022 and it’s not acceptable that such an upmarket restaurant is not disabled friendly. I don’t think that restaurants understand the emotional impact of this on people. I am extremely upset and feel like angry that such a restaurant conveniently forgets such important things. Thank you to the waiters who offered to help and were very apologetic…
