Very pleased to have found this little gem neatly packed away in Somerset West. The food is authentic and the quesadilla and fajitas were delicious! Don’t be afraid to ask for extra spice, as the mild was very mild and the hot was mild which is subjective taste of course. Service was friendly, food came out quick and ambiance was incredible. Will go back again soon. They are still working on obtaining a liquor license, so byob

Thank you Señor Onion Mexican cafe for my amazing take away it was nice and warm still and so so lekker.... I will recommend to all who would like a nice tasty hot food but also if you not so into the hot food the have amazing other dishes for you taste buds and for the kids. Thank you

This was such a quaint little restuarant. The owner was so friendly and kind. They have amazing brownies. The food is also quite delicious.
Ha a friends 30th there and had a great time. Food was really good and reasonably priced. No liquor licence but they are working on getting it. Definitely heading there again when I search of spiceFood: 5/5
Pathetic service .2nd time in a row. Me and my wife are not ones to complain about restaurants,but since the cafe turned their fast food into a restaurant it's been the worst experience.I don't know if it's the owner or management but theres a serious lack of customer relations .Ones, we arrived ,the place was packed and there was a seating for us in the corner of the restaurant ,the waiter took us to our seats and that is that,no menus no acknowledgment of our presence ,we sat there for 30min ,raised our hands for service ,manager and a server were laughing and doing their own thing.We got up and left.They probably didnt realise we were gone .Today we got there at 6oclock and they are busy moving tables for a function .we waited once again for acknowledgment and someone to show us our tables,but nothing. Eventually we waved the manager and she said the only tables available are outside,its windy and freezing.There was no way. So the point is ,it does not matter how busy or how full the restaurant is ,its the attitudes ,the lack of communication and acknowledgment that they all need to be trained on.I won't support this restaurant again, not even on Mr D /Uber eats. Well done senior onion ,your my first 1star review
