Welgedacht Spar is conveniently located in the heart of the Welgedacht, Proteavalley, Van Riebeekshof and Oude Westhof communities. We have been a part of the community since the area was first developed from a winefarm to a residential area. The aim of the store is to provide its clientele with a world class shopping experience at affordable prices. The store is owned by brothers Martin and Ronald Vleggaar.
The store is very involved in the community and regularly sponsor Kenridge Primary school, Welgemoed Primary, Fairmont High School and the Kenridge NG Church with their various fundraisers and sports days. The store supports community values and aim to trade responsibly.
Welgedacht Spar has won numerous prizes within the Spar group for it’s high standards pertaining to hygiene, cleanliness, quality of products and store standards. The staff is friendly and efficient and make customer service their number one priority.
The owners have also recently purchased the bottle store in the Van Riebeekshof Mall and has turned it into a Tops. Tops is South Africa's leading brand in liquor. The prices are very competitive, and the standards are that which one would expect from your local Spar store.
