From all the Montecasino restaurants, this by far is the best. From the class as soon as you enter to the perfectly picked decor. It's really something to sit back and enjoy the elegance of it all. The food is superbly plated and the taste is amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and so welcoming. I really enjoyed the food, desserts and drinks. Will definitely be going back and will recommend them to people.
A great place to eat. Verdicchio has large selection of wines to choose from. The food is rich and filling. Our son had the cheese wheel pasta. The waiter will come to your table an prepare the pasta it is a sight to behold, a must for cheese lovers. I had Kleftico it was well worth the wait, it was tender and flavorful. We also asked for a bowl of Ravioli even though it is not on the menu the chef was happy to make a portion for us. It was some of the best I have had. For dessert we had cheese cake. This is a must if you love cheese cake. It is made in house and is creamy and is the perfect way to end off a meal.

We went there to celebrate a special occasion with 9 people. We pre booked a pre-set menue, and what a great idea. We were treated excellently from the moment we arrived. Sat down and we were served warm bread and sauces. Then like clockwork other dishes arrived. A complimentary salad before the menue stated. Everything followed smoothly and beautifully. All of the food we had was excellent zero complaints and all the complimemt. I fully recommend eating here for a special night out.
Amazing experience with the food, staff and the place itself. It’s definitely much nicer and aesthetically pleasing if you go down the stairs to the cellar and have your supper there. The staff are really friendly , top service. And always make sure you have what you need. I’d definitely recommend going here if you’re looking for a nice romantic setup with a loved one or if you’re looking to celebrate.

Wonderful atmosphere in the wine cellar, the service was great and the food lived up to expectations. Also awesome to see they have more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu than the previous times I went.Food: 5/5
Lovely restuarant. The service is impeccable. Food absolutely delicious. We were five.people. Had the prawns, chicken livers to start, seafood pasta and seafood risotto, chicken breast and a vegetarian spaghetti dish. Only complaint was mixed veg were bland. Finished off with delightful creme brulee and chocolate fondant and Irish coffees. Wines were a bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion.
Nice and cozy restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely. Service was incredible. Our waiter knew the menu and all his recommendations were great! The menu is not extensive but they specialize is pasta which you can't go wrong by trying it. Will definitely come back. So much more to try.Food: 4/5
Absolutely amazing restaurant! I am adding it into my list of restaurants suitable for a celebration in Jhb, publicly available to all here on Google Maps. Verdicchio is beautifully designed, and has a basement/underground sitting away from the Monte Casino promenade. So down there it is much more quite and you can book a private space and table for your date or celebration All the foods from the bread and starters to the main are very delicious and well made. When we visited everyone ordered a different meal but we ended up eating off each other's plate because everyone was complimenting their dish. We even wanted to ask for additional bread. The staff are very very attentive and friendly! That made a very good impression to me. The service is impeccable! My mom was not happy with her rump steak and they happily took it back without charge and all this without her even asking. She was able to order an alternative meal. The restaurant has a bathroom inside, so you don't really have to go out of the restaurant to use the mall's bathrooms.
